We are currently seeking a Business Consulting - QA Automation Engineer to join our team in Pune, Mahārāshtra (IN-MH), India (IN).

Automation QA Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Automation QA Engineer with strong expertise in test automation frameworks and tools. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in developing and maintaining automated test solutions, preferably within Financial Services and Wealth Management domains. The role requires a proactive individual with strong analytical skills, a quality-first mindset, and experience working in Agile environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks.

• Create scalable and reusable automation solutions using Selenium, Playwright, and/or Cypress.

• Follow established test automation standards, best practices, and guidelines.

• Analyze application functionality and identify automation opportunities.

• Investigate, troubleshoot, and report software defects and quality issues.

• Develop and execute test cases to ensure comprehensive test coverage.

• Participate in requirement reviews and provide quality assurance inputs throughout the SDLC/STLC.

• Manage test data and support test environment readiness for automation activities.

• Collaborate with Developers, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and QA team members to ensure high-quality deliverables.

• Stay current with emerging automation technologies, tools, and industry best practices.

• Actively participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong hands-on experience in test automation using Selenium, Playwright, and/or Cypress.

• Experience designing, developing, and maintaining automation frameworks and test scripts.

• Proficiency in Java and/or JavaScript for automation development.

• Experience working on Financial Services projects, preferably within Wealth Management.

• Good understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and quality assurance processes.

• Experience in test case design, execution, defect tracking, and defect management.

• Good understanding of Test Data Management concepts and practices.

• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.

• Proactive attitude with excellent communication and collaboration skills.

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.

Preferred Skills

• SQL and data validation/testing experience.

• Exposure to API testing tools such as Postman or Swagger.

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and test automation integration.

• Knowledge of test management and defect tracking tools such as JIRA, ALM, or similar platforms.
