Job Description

ServiceNow is seeking a Senior Manager, Product Security Testing & Engineering to lead a global organization responsible for reducing product risk through security testing, security engineering, automation, adversarial security assessments, and technical partnership with product development teams. 

This leader will build and scale a high-performing team that combines security expertise with engineering capability to deliver security assessments, testing frameworks, automation, tooling, and scalable security solutions across ServiceNow products and platforms. The role requires a strong technical leader who can drive operational excellence, engineering innovation, and measurable security outcomes.  

What You Will Do 

Lead Security Testing & Engineering 

  • Lead a global team responsible for security testing, security engineering, offensive security assessments, and product risk reduction. 
  • Define technical strategy, operating models, and quality standards for testing and engineering activities. 
  • Drive a culture of technical excellence, innovation, accountability, and data-driven decision making. 
  • Energize the team around the organization's security vision, capturing people's imaginations about where product security is headed and why the work matters. 

Build Engineering Capabilities 

  • Develop and scale security tooling, testing frameworks, automation, platforms, and reusable security services. 
  • Increase security coverage and operational efficiency through engineering, telemetry, and automation. 
  • Partner with development teams to improve security outcomes and integrate security throughout the software development lifecycle. 
  • Foster an environment of experimentation, nurture promising ideas, take calculated risks, and support the use of the latest technologies to create sustainable value. 

Advance Security Testing 

  • Lead security reviews, adversarial testing, vulnerability research, variant analysis, and risk-focused assessments. 
  • Ensure findings are actionable, technically rigorous, and aligned to real-world risk. 
  • Continuously improve testing methodologies, coverage, and effectiveness through innovation and engineering.  
  • Build a High-Performing Organization 
  • Recruit, develop, and retain exceptional security engineers. 
  • Establish a hiring bar that values both security expertise and engineering capability. 
  • Create clear career paths across security testing, software engineering, automation, platform development, and offensive security. 
  • Develop future technical and people leaders within the organization. 

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you have

  • Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving. This may include using AI-powered tools, automating workflows, analyzing AI-driven insights, or exploring AI's potential impact on the function or industry.
  • Experience leading Product Security, Security Engineering, Application Security, Offensive Security, or Security Testing organizations. 
  • Experience managing managers and globally distributed technical teams. 
  • Strong understanding of secure software development, product security, and security testing practices. 
  • Experience building or scaling automation, tooling, platforms, or engineering solutions. 
  • Experience driving cross-functional partnerships with engineering and product organizations. 
  • Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence senior technical and business stakeholders. 

Preferred 

  • Experience leading both security engineering and offensive security functions. 
  • Experience building security platforms, testing frameworks, automation systems, or developer-facing security services. 
  • Experience with vulnerability research, adversarial testing, penetration testing, or exploit validation. 
  • Experience supporting SaaS, cloud, platform, or AI-enabled products.
