Responsibilities: The Data Analyst is responsible for processing, validating, analyzing, and maintaining healthcare data used in post-operative patient experience survey programs. This role ensures that patient and client data is accurate, complete, secure, and processed in accordance with CMS requirements, HIPAA regulations, internal quality standards, and established reporting deadlines.

The Data Analyst works with large volumes of healthcare and survey-related data, performs quality assurance and auditing activities, manages secure file transfers, resolves data discrepancies, and supports clients with data-related questions and file issues. The position also contributes to employee training and continuous process improvement to maintain high standards of data quality and operational efficiency.  

• Process and manage large volumes of data using Microsoft Excel.
• Review, validate, and maintain data files to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Conduct audits of data processing activities to ensure compliance with CMS guidelines and internal quality standards.
• Train new employees on data processing procedures and best practices.
• Provide customer support by resolving data file issues and answering client inquiries.
• Ensure compliance with CMS regulations while processing and validating healthcare data.
• Perform quality assurance reviews to identify and correct data discrepancies.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and safeguard the confidentiality of protected health information (PHI).
• Collaborate with the team to meet CMS reporting deadlines and client requirements.
• Perform secure file uploads, downloads, and transmission validation to support client reporting.
• Utilize WinZip to securely receive, extract, and manage encrypted data files.
• Monitor data integrity and resolve inconsistencies to improve overall data quality.
• Maintain detailed documentation of data processing activities and audit results.
• Assist with process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy in data management.

Qualifications:• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working with large datasets.
• Experience reviewing, validating, and maintaining healthcare or patient-related data.
• Strong attention to detail with demonstrated data auditing and quality assurance skills.
• Knowledge of HIPAA requirements and appropriate handling of PHI and confidential healthcare information.
• Familiarity with CMS guidelines, healthcare reporting requirements, or patient experience survey programs.
• Experience with secure file transfer, encrypted files, and data transmission validation.
• Ability to identify, investigate, and resolve complex data discrepancies.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to provide professional client support.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process-improvement skills.
