Position Purpose: The Sr. Financial Analyst will be responsible for tracking, analyzing and cost controls associated with multiple projects. We are seeking a hard-working, energetic, and dedicated individual to contribute to the overall success of our programs. In this role, you will have opportunities to work independently as well as collaborate with key functional stakeholders including Program Management and Engineering. Successful candidates will demonstrate an aptitude for efficiency, problem-solving, and resourcefulness, with a commitment to quality while developing their leadership skills as a key business partner.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Range: $90,000 - $150,000

(Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)

On-site position at our Boulder, CO location (work locations are subject to change based on business need).

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Development of quarterly EACs; analysis/assist in accurate projection of Estimate to Complete (ETC), Estimate at Complete (EAC) and Latest Revised Estimate (LRE) data

 

  • May lead creation of 6+ EACs per quarter, responsible for multiple projects at once as Financial Analyst lead  

 

  • Cost control and variance analysis, internal/external reporting, risk management and financial support

 

  • Provide PMO with in-depth, transactional-level detail of costs, must possess knowledge of cost flow through ERP system to trace/explain activity through functional areas 

 

  • Assist with labor reporting, accounting data extraction and reconciliation, labor and cost transfer submittals 

 

  • Support creation of streamlined business processes for commercial Components business line 

 

  • Assist with organization of Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and job cost accumulation

 

  • Assist in monitoring costs and labor to ensure that actuals are within budget and charged to the correct end objective

 

  • Develop and present briefing of program financial status to internal customers 
  • Support Engineering Change Proposals (ECP) and contract modifications with estimation activities

 

  • Perform ad-hoc analysis, data integrity checks, and validations related to program financials

 

  • Working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

 

  • May include personnel management responsibilities 
  • Other responsibilities as assigned 

 

Required Qualifications/Education: 

  • 3+ years of Finance experience  
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Management or a related field 
  • Excel proficiency (to include Lookup/Index/Sum functions and pivot tables)  
  • Ability to manage priorities in order to meet deadlines  
  • Possess good oral and written communication skills  
  • Strong attention to detail and work quality  
  • Knowledge of concepts and techniques related to program controls  
  • Experience or exposure to performing cost control and analysis functions in a U.S. Government, multi-CLIN contracting environment

is desired 

  • Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education 

Working Conditions:

This job operates in a professional office environment, but in a manufacturing company. This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, filing cabinets and fax machines.
