Job DetailsJob Location: Kolpak LLC - Parsons, TN 38363Position Type: Full TimeJob Shift: 1st ShiftJob Category: SalesAs an Associate Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for direct contact with dealers and reps and end-users. The Associate Sales Engineer communicates to understand the needs and expectations of each project effectively through orders, quotations, and drawings. Works closely with Sales Engineers and Managers to process approvals for quotes and drawings. Assists in managing projects to completion. Gains knowledge and expertise in configuring custom solutions to address customer needs Reporting directly to the Customer Service Manager, this position is based in Parsons, Tennessee*. Major Accountability: Backup the switchboard when required along with all the reports associated with the duties of the switchboard. Process orders accurately and timely when required. Review each order with Production Control for the best available shipping date before booking an order. Revise quotations and/or drawings as necessary, review pricing to ensure the quote and purchase order is accurate. Provide support for Sales Engineers and Senior Sales Engineers as needed. Providing quotes, submittal drawings and processing orders in this backup role. Maintain the file room to ensure the files are cleared off the conference table and put in the correct numbering sequence. When required the files will need to be boxed up and shipped over to the MRD building to make room for new ones to prevent overcrowding. Pass out the bill of lading packets sent up from shipping to the CSR’s as required each week. Assist them by filing these items in the order packet as needed. Key Tasks & Responsibilities: Communicate required information effectively with external and internal contacts. Process orders accurately within assigned timelines. Originate or revise quotations and/or drawings to meet project needs. Meets with Sales Engineers and/or Manager to gain necessary approval on quotes and drawings. Work within a team structure to support a pre-determined territory and provide back up within the team. This may include any chain accounts established in that territory. Provide support role to Logistics, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Service, Parts and Credit departments regarding customers business before and after the sale. Work with Product Design to best determine how to meet the project needs with reasonable equipment design and function through presentation drawings. Other duties include backing up switchboard operator, which includes order entry, ordering office supplies, backup if quoter is out of office, assist in maintaining order in the file room. Qualifications Associate degree in business with at least 1 year of commercial foodservice experience; in lieu of degree, must have a high school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in commercial foodservice experience Must have strong communication skills in the verbal and written form. Attention to detail is a must. Able to interpret and understand construction documents and specifications and apply basic math principles. Microsoft Office skills required. Must be able to sit for long periods of time; must be able to lift 25 pounds Typical office environment; Ability to wear all Personal Protective Equipment (P.P.E.) required.
