ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for an iOS Developer to join an international team responsible for maintaining, modernizing, and enhancing an established enterprise mobile application within the automotive industry. In this role, you will work on upgrading a legacy iOS application, developing new features, ensuring compatibility with the latest iOS versions, and integrating the app with a variety of backend services and cloud-based systems. You will also contribute to performance optimization, operational support, and the continuous improvement of the application's reliability, security, and user experience in a complex enterprise environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Take ownership of the maintenance and ongoing development of an existing native iOS application.
- Upgrade and modernize the application to ensure compatibility with the latest iOS versions.
- Develop new features and enhance existing functionality based on business and technical requirements.
- Integrate and maintain connections with REST APIs, backend services, and cloud-based systems.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues to ensure stability and performance.
- Optimize the application for reliability, security, and maintainability.
- Provide operational support by investigating and resolving production incidents.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including backend developers, architects, QA engineers, and business stakeholders.
- Participate in knowledge transfer activities and contribute to a smooth transition of the application from the previous development team.
REQUIREMENTS
- Several years of experience with Swift and native iOS development.
- Experience with REST APIs and backend integrations.
- Knowledge of cloud environments, ideally AWS.
- Experience with enterprise architectures and complex integration landscapes.
- Understanding of mobile security and app lifecycle management.
- Experience with performance and stability optimization of mobile applications.
- Willingness and readiness to travel as required by project or client needs is expected. This may include occasional domestic or international travel, sometimes on short notice.
Nice to have:
- Knowledge of the automotive industry.
- Experience with vehicle configurators.
- Experience with monitoring solutions such as Splunk.
