Our client is looking for a Sr. Project Manager / Operations Manager to join their team in Rochester, NY.

This position pays 150k - 175k/year DOE

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate the scheduling and workload of General Contractor Project Managers and

Superintendents.

  • Assist with scheduling and coordination of in-house trade crews on internal projects to

maximize productivity and project efficiency.

  • Conduct regular internal production meetings to review project status, address challenges, and

ensure accountability across all teams.

  • Monitor project schedules to ensure milestones are achieved and proactively resolve issues that

may impact project timelines.

  • Implement and maintain quality control processes throughout all phases of construction.
  • Oversee the company's safety program, ensuring it remains current, compliant, and consistently

administered across all job sites.

  • Perform regular job site visits to monitor safety, quality, progress, and operational performance.
  • Attend Owner-Architect-Contractor (OAC) meetings as required, representing FSI professionally

while fostering strong client and project team relationships.

  • Participate in company leadership meetings and contribute to strategic planning, operational

improvements, and organizational growth.

  • Provide leadership and operational support on large-scale and complex construction projects.
  • Mentor, coach, and develop Project Managers, Superintendents, and other team members to

strengthen organizational capabilities.

  • Identify staffing, training, and operational needs while recommending process improvements

and organizational changes as necessary.

  • Collaborate with executive leadership to improve project delivery, operational efficiency, and

client satisfaction.

  • Ensure company standards, policies, and procedures are consistently followed throughout all

projects.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience in commercial and/or multi-family

residential construction.

  • Demonstrated success managing multiple large-scale construction projects simultaneously.
  • Strong knowledge of construction scheduling, project management, budgeting, quality control,

and field operations.

  • Thorough understanding of OSHA safety requirements and construction safety best practices.
  • Experience leading, mentoring, and developing construction professionals.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with owners, architects, subcontractors, and internal teams.
  • Proficiency with construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (preferred but

not required based on experience).

  • Experience with both General Contracting and self-performed trades.
  • Experience managing commercial, mixed-use, and multi-family residential developments.
