The Northrop Grumman Classified Solutions team is seeking a Manager Cybersecurity 2 to support information system lifecycle activities. The selected candidate will be required to work on-site, full-time at our McClellan, CA location. In this role you will lead and manage an integrated IT and Cybersecurity team, overseeing performance and execution of the Classified Solutions statement of work, and collaborating with CIDO and program leaders to ensure consistent service delivery across the portfolio. The ideal candidate will have a clear focus on execution and program enablement, be comfortable with accountability at both the strategic and leadership levels, and be familiar with key IT technology solutions, as well as Cybersecurity best practices to include JSIG and RMF compliance.

The responsibilities of this role will include but not be limited to the following:

  • Foster an environment for individual development, teamwork, effective performance management, open communication, financial management, and utilization.
  • Encourage high‑performance habits through regular check‑ins, clear expectations, and recognition of achievements.
  • Translate senior‑level IT and cybersecurity strategies into detailed work plans.
  • Oversee the rollout and day‑to‑day enforcement of cybersecurity and IT standards, policies, and procedures within the team.
  • Lead day‑to‑day execution of assigned initiatives, ensuring milestones are met on time and within budget.
  • Maintain and update tools (e.g., ticketing, project‑tracking) so leadership has real‑time visibility into work status.
  • Assist in prioritizing tasks based on risk, impact, and resource availability, escalating when necessary.
  • Identify skill gaps and coordinate relevant training or certification opportunities.
  • Conduct periodic compliance checks and report deviations to senior management.
  • Gather data for key organizational metrics (e.g., incident response time, patch compliance) and prepare routine status reports.
  • Support the preparation of compliance documentation required by government regulations.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for scheduled customer inspections, preparing artifacts and ensuring team readiness.
  • Provide timely responses to inspection findings and track remediation actions.
  • Work closely with peers in Classified Solutions and other NG sectors to exchange relevant threat intelligence and best practices.
  • Supervise a defined group of IT and cybersecurity staff, assigning work, reviewing deliverables, and ensuring quality.
  • Provide mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities for managers and new leaders.
  • Identify skills needed and provide training to meet requirements.
  • Interact with internal key executives, CIDO Program Management Office, and customers on significant technical matters often requiring coordination between organizations.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 10 Years with BS; 8 Years with Masters; 6 Years with PhD.
  • Candidates must have a current U.S. Government Top Secret security clearance (at a minimum), to include a closed investigation date completed within the last 6 years, OR must be enrolled in the U.S. Govern.ment Continuous Evaluation (CE) Program to be considered; the selected candidate will be required to obtain and maintain SCI access and a U.S. Government polygraph as a condition of continued employment.
  • Candidates must meet the U.S. Government 8140 requirements for a Manager Cybersecurity 2 – Security+.
  • The selected candidate must have the ability to be cleared to Special Access Programs (SAP/SAR) as a condition of continued employment; maintaining the required SAP/SAR clearance will also be a condition of continued employment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity or an information technology related field.
  • ITIL, Agile, CISM, or CISSP certification.
  • Demonstratable management and leadership experience.
  • Current polygraph.
  • Experience and familiarity with IT infrastructure (i.e., virtualization, networking, datacenter architecture, or systems administration).
  • Experience with RMF or other cybersecurity related compliance frameworks.
  • Ability to interface with all levels of employees and management.
  • Prior experience communicating with customer and program leadership and/or security oversight authorities.

Primary Level Salary Range: $146,600.00 - $219,800.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
