Full description

The Graduate Data Analyst supports the organisation's reporting and business intelligence capabilities by extracting, analysing and presenting data that enables informed decision-making across the business. Working closely with Operations, Delivery, Product and Client Success teams, the role is responsible for producing accurate reports, developing dashboards, maintaining data quality and identifying trends that support both internal stakeholders and external clients. This is an entry-level role designed to provide practical experience in data analytics, business intelligence and reporting within a fast-paced fintech environment, with opportunities to develop technical expertise and progress into more senior data and analytics roles.

Essential• Degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Business Analytics or a related discipline.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, PivotTables and data analysis.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to explain data and insights clearly to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Desirable• Experience with Power BI, Tableau or similar business intelligence tools.

  • Knowledge of Python, R or other analytical programming languages.
  • Understanding of data visualisation best practices.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms.
  • Internship, placement or university project experience involving data analysis or reporting.
  • Exposure to financial services, enterprise software or fintech environments.

Data Analysis & Reporting• Extract, validate and analyse data from internal systems and databases.

  • Produce regular operational, management and client-facing reports.
  • Develop dashboards and visualisations that provide meaningful business insights.
  • Identify trends, anomalies and opportunities within datasets.
  • Support ad hoc reporting requests across the business.

Data Management• Query and manipulate data using SQL.

  • Perform data cleansing and validation to ensure data quality and integrity.
  • Maintain reporting datasets, documentation and reporting standards.
  • Support the continuous improvement of reporting processes.

Business Intelligence• Develop dashboards and KPI reporting using business intelligence tools.

  • Support the automation of recurring reports and manual reporting processes.
  • Assist business users in understanding and interpreting data.
  • Contribute to improving data accessibility and reporting efficiency.

Stakeholder Support• Work collaboratively with Operations, Delivery, Product and Client Success teams.

  • Produce accurate reporting for external clients where required.
  • Support stakeholder reporting requirements and respond to reporting queries.
  • Build positive working relationships across the business.

Continuous Improvement• Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes and data quality.

  • Support initiatives that enhance the organisation's data maturity.
  • Contribute to the development of reporting templates, documentation and best practices.
  • Maintain a proactive approach to learning new analytical tools and technologies.
