Job Summary
Provides construction budget and business support services, financial and analytic services, work order and invoice management, and manpower forecasting services to the Transmission Operations division manager and staff.
Essential Functions
- Gather requirements, create Use Cases and Technical Documents, Review Business & Testing requirements, document detailed Test Plans, Test Cases, and Test Scripts and handle Changes.
- Research, compile, coordinate, review, document, organize, verify data and, conduct independent complex analysis, and identify inconsistencies.
- Develop Use Cases, Storyboards, Activity Diagrams, Business Process workflows and Flowchart diagrams.
- Develop procedures, templates, dashboards and software applications to enhance the existing work processes.
- Develop and maintain technical data in spreadsheets and databases.
- Provide analysis and reporting for maintaining the annual construction budget and track and report monthly variances associated with ongoing construction projects.
- Track material consumption and invoices on a monthly basis for all ongoing projects.
- Prepare monthly & quarterly accruals and year-end budget true-ups for all ongoing projects.
- Participate in monthly meetings to report on monthly project variances and suggest scenarios for rebalancing budget funding.
- Assist project team members in verifying invoices submitted by vendors contain the correct information for billing and provide monthly earned value updates.
- Assist team members with documenting and updating project estimates and monthly cost reports.
- Provide support for completion of change proposals, purchasing requisitions, bid package preparations, etc.
- Keep management informed on project status by preparing reports, making presentations, interpreting information, and making recommendations as required.
- Other duties as determined by Manager to support division goals and objectives.
Education Description
- Requires a bachelor’s degree in finance, or business administration.
Experience
- Requires a minimum of five (5) years of experience with financial enterprise systems, financial analysis or business analytics in a corporate or electric utility environment.
- Experience with SAP (e.g., SAP ERP, SAP HANA, SAP Business Objects) or other enterprise database software.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office products (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Visio, MS Project) with specific experience in developing and maintaining complex spreadsheets and databases
