We're looking for an exceptional leader who thrives on solving complex problems, driving large-scale transformation and helping organisations turn strategy into action.

As the General Manager, Advisory & Delivery Services, you'll establish and lead a high-performing internal consulting function that supports some of UnitingCare's most important strategic priorities. This is a rare opportunity to shape enterprise-wide transformation, influence executive decision-making and partner with leaders across healthcare, aged care, community services and corporate functions to deliver meaningful and lasting change.

You'll lead a team of experienced consultants and advisors, tackling the organisation's most complex challenges while helping improve outcomes for the more than 400,000 people UnitingCare supports across Queensland and the Northern Territory each year.

Please note, this position is based within our Corporate team and will involve travel to other UnitingCare locations as required.

Your part in our UnitingCare team:  

  • Establish and lead UnitingCare's internal Advisory & Delivery Services function, creating a trusted consulting capability that helps drive strategic priorities, transformation and organisational improvement.
  • Partner with Executives, General Managers and senior leaders to solve complex organisational challenges and deliver sustainable business outcomes.
  • Lead enterprise-wide transformation programs, service redesign initiatives, operational improvement projects and strategic change initiatives across clinical, care, community and corporate environments.
  • Build strong partnerships across the organisation, including Digital & Technology, ensuring innovative and practical solutions are delivered to support strategic objectives.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to executives, steering committees and governance forums, providing evidence-based recommendations and strategic insight.
  • Lead high-profile and sensitive advisory engagements, navigating complexity, competing priorities and organisational change with confidence and credibility
  • Drive innovation, service improvement and operational excellence by helping teams identify opportunities, test new ideas and implement sustainable solutions.
  • Develop and inspire a high-performing consulting team, fostering a culture of curiosity, accountability, collaboration and professional excellence.

 

What makes a difference for us? 

  • Extensive senior leadership experience within consulting, advisory, transformation, strategy, operational excellence or business improvement environments.
  • Experience leading complex organisation-wide transformation, service redesign, operational improvement and strategic delivery initiatives.
  • A track record of operating at Director, Associate Partner, Principal or equivalent senior leadership level within a consulting, advisory or internal strategy function
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships and lead through complexity.
  • Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary teams and building organisational capability.
  • Strong commercial, strategic and systems thinking capability, with the ability to balance competing priorities and deliver impactful outcomes.
  • Relevant qualifications in business, commerce, strategy, operations, health administration or a related discipline.
  • Experience within healthcare, aged care, disability, human services or similarly complex service environments will be highly regarded.
