About the Role
The Project Manager role will fill the in support of more senior Project and Program Management staff. It provides an exciting career path into the Project Management family of jobs within the Abacus Client Delivery Program Management Office. You will have the opportunity to work on information technology projects within the US healthcare payer industry building powerful skills, knowledge, and experience for your career at the intersection of IT and healthcare. You will have the opportunity to gain this experience on projects where cutting edge cloud-based technologies are being deployed and within a dynamic and fast-growing company.
You day to day
- Manage end-to-end delivery of individual large-scale projects or multiple smaller projects, ensuring timelines, scope, and quality are consistently achieved
- Coordinate closely with Sr. Project Managers and Client Delivery Managers to translate client requirements into clear delivery objectives and milestones
- Implement project governance frameworks including RAID logs, status reporting, and stakeholder communication
- Conduct detailed resource planning, capacity management, and risk assessments
- Champion Agile methodologies within assigned projects; ensure backlog refinement and sprint execution quality
- Facilitate regular status meetings, ensuring accurate project health reporting and timely risk mitigation
What you bring to the team
- 5+ years of experience in technically complex IT project / program management roles
- Experience in technically complex IT project management roles
- Professional experience in IT project management roles
- Experience in healthcare related project management – payer experience ideal
- Agile Methodologies experience
- Experience in healthcare related project management – payer experience ideal
- Experience in hands on technical roles – e.g., programming, data modeling, software quality assurance, etc.
- Strong Oral and written communication skills
What we would like to see, but not required
- US Healthcare experience with healthcare payer experience
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or Prince2 certification
- Certified Scrum Master

Work arrangements
- Standard hours: 9 hours/day, 5 days/week
- Location: Pune, 5 Days from the office
- Shift: Your standard working hours will be nine (9) hours per day within the Company’s standard working hours. Specific working hours may vary based on business needs.
