The role will collaborate closely with Premier League Marketing, Data, Product, and Technology teams to ensure that the CDP enables real-time segmentation, personalised fan journeys, and actionable performance insights. The CDP Manager will also work with Adobe engineering and architecture specialists to ensure the platform operates reliably, securely, and in compliance with global data privacy regulations.

This role sits at the intersection of data, marketing activation, and platform operations, ensuring that fan data becomes a strategic asset that powers the next generation of Premier League fan experiences.

Responsibilities

Key Accountabilities

  • Own the operational management and optimisation of Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) as the Premier League’s central customer data platform.
  • Ensure fan data from multiple digital touchpoints is ingested, structured, governed, and activated effectively across marketing and fan engagement use cases.
  • Enable the Premier League marketing team to deliver data-driven segmentation, personalised fan journeys, and audience activation at scale.
  • Ensure the CDP operates with high standards of data accuracy, governance, and regulatory compliance including GDPR and global privacy requirements.
  • Act as the primary operational bridge between Premier League marketing teams, data engineering teams, and Adobe platform specialists.

Key Responsibilities

1. CDP Platform Management

  • Oversee the day-to-day operation of Adobe Experience Platform, including data ingestion pipelines, schemas, and real-time data processing.
  • Ensure customer data from digital properties (web, app, fantasy products, CRM, and partner sources) is integrated effectively into the CDP.
  • Monitor platform health, performance, and data flows to ensure reliable data availability for activation.

2. Audience Segmentation & Activation

  • Define and manage fan audience segmentation frameworks to support targeted marketing campaigns.
  • Work closely with marketing operations and personalisation teams to enable audience activation across multiple channels including web, app, email, and paid media.
  • Support the design of real-time fan segments and audience triggers to enable responsive fan engagement journeys.

3. Data Governance & Quality

  • Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across all CDP data sources.
  • Establish and maintain data governance processes, ensuring compliance with GDPR and other privacy regulations.
  • Define and enforce data schema standards and identity resolution approaches across the platform.

4. Collaboration with Data & Technology Teams

  • Work closely with data engineers and enterprise architects to optimise data models, identity resolution, and integration patterns.
  • Support the design of scalable data architecture to support future fan engagement and analytics capabilities.
  • Troubleshoot data ingestion issues, integration failures, and segmentation anomalies.

5. Advanced Data & Personalisation Enablement

  • Enable predictive modelling, AI-driven segmentation, and advanced personalisation use cases.
  • Support experimentation and campaign optimisation through structured audience data and behavioural insights.
  • Collaborate with analytics teams to measure and optimise fan engagement performance.

Qualifications

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Strong experience working with Customer Data Platforms, must have knowledge of Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) and ideally similar enterprise CDP technologies.
  • Experience working with digital marketing teams to support data-driven audience activation and personalisation.
  • Strong understanding of data architecture, identity resolution, and segmentation strategies.
  • Familiarity with data privacy and governance frameworks including GDPR.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including marketing, product, data engineering, and analytics.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment supporting a global digital platform.
  • Interest in sports, media, or fan engagement ecosystems is advantageous.
