The Senior Systems Engineer will lead engineering development, manage requirements, and facilitate communication between internal and external stakeholders for complex systems. They are responsible for overseeing the Risk Management process and providing technical reports to the Program Office leadership.

Responsibilities
- Performs programmatic or technical knowledge identifying, formulating, designing, and/or testing practical solutions to engineering problems; guiding the engineering development of modern complex systems; and employing systems engineering methods and tools in the development of advanced complex systems.
- Principal areas of responsibility include requirements management, coordination of internal and external action items, and communications with internal and external stakeholders.
- Establishes and maintains communication with project team leaders, NAVAIRSYSCOM officials, competency management and IPT team members to ensure Systems Engineering practices and processes are followed appropriately.
- Lead Risk Management process within the international team.
- Respond to engineering taskers as directed by the Program Office leadership.
- Prepares project correspondence such as technical reports, letters, and memorandums.
- Serves as PMA-251’s Systems Engineering representative and provides technical inputs and prepares appropriate correspondence and reports such as trip reports, meeting action items, etc.
Requirements:• U.S. Citizen with an active Secret Clearance.
- Must have a Technical or Scientific MS or MA degree from an accredited college or university• ALLOWABLE SUBSTITUTION: Technical or Scientific BS or BA degree from an accredited college or university and an additional four (4) years of recent and relevant experience
- Must have at least ten (10) years of recent and relevant experience in an engineering position, three (3) of which must be directly related to DoD systems.
- Prior involvement and experience with Foreign Military Sales (FMS) programs required
- Understanding of program management, acquisition processes, and international defense cooperation strongly desired.
- Demonstrated experience in the area of engineering expertise is required.
- Ability to liaise with stakeholders across U.S. Navy, partners, and industry to ensure program milestones and deliverables are met.
