Technical Writer (12-Month Secondment)

Are you passionate about creating clear, practical, and engaging documentation that helps teams work more effectively?

We're looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Technical Writer to join our team on a 12-month secondment. This is an exciting opportunity for an internal team member to broaden their experience, work across multiple business functions, and play a key role in improving operational excellence across InvoCare.

In this role, you'll partner with Process Owners, subject matter experts and stakeholders across the business to develop, standardise and maintain high-quality documentation that supports operational consistency, compliance and continuous improvement.

About the Role

As our Technical Writer, you will:

  • Develop and maintain operational documentation, including policies, procedures, SOPs, forms and business standards.
  • Translate complex processes into clear, user-friendly documentation that supports business outcomes.
  • Coordinate document reviews, approvals and version control processes.
  • Identify documentation gaps, duplication and improvement opportunities.
  • Partner with stakeholders across operational and support functions to capture, validate and improve business processes.
  • Support governance, quality assurance and document control requirements.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance usability, adoption, and consistency across the organisation.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word.
  • Experience using AI and productivity tools such as Microsoft Copilot.
  • Exposure to regulated, compliance-driven or operational environments will be highly regarded.
