About the role

Sulzer Wexford is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer ( Project Manager )  that is product development focussed, giving you responsibility from concept through to prototype, testing, and successful product introduction.

You’ll help lead the next generation of submersible pumps and agitators, supporting our mission to deliver high‑performance, high‑reliability solutions for water recycling and sustainable operations worldwide.

About Sulzer Wexford With over 250+ employees on site, Sulzer Wexford is a key engineering and manufacturing hub within Sulzer’s global network. The team’s work underpins critical water recycling, sustainability, and energy‑efficiency solutions used around the world.  

What you’ll be doing

  • Lead end‑to‑end product development projects using best‑practice project management methods.
  • Design and develop new products, primarily submersible pumps and agitators — translating requirements into high‑performance, high‑reliability solutions.
  • Oversee the build, test, and validation of prototypes, including detailed reporting, interpretation, and analysis of results.
  • Support smooth introduction of new products into manufacturing and global markets.
  • Act as the point of contact, collaborating with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure engineering, quality, and commercial alignment.
