Role

We are looking for a Staff Software Development Engineer to join our team. This is a hybrid role based in Bangalore or Hyderabad ,India reporting to the Senior Manager, Software Engineering in the Engineering department. You will join the team that built the world’s largest cloud security platform from the ground up, enabling organizations worldwide to harness speed and agility with a cloud-first strategy. With more than 100 patents and 15 million users across 185 countries, you will bring your vision to a team of experts dedicated to enhancing our multitenant architecture and global footprint.

What you’ll do (Role Expectations)

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams during design and maintaining cloud-based software solutions
  • Testing at scale with Python automation while diagnosing, recreating, and resolving complex customer issues in production
  • Providing actionable insights to the development team to continuously enhance product debugging features
  • Developing and maintaining robust, scalable test automation frameworks for enterprise cloud security products
  • Integrating automated test APIs into modern CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins and GitLab

What We’re Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)

  • Demonstrated curiosity and active exploration of AI tools, with a proven history of integrating new technologies to enhance daily workflows and augment problem-solving
  • Strong background in Python programming for building test automation tools, utilities, and scripts
  • Hands-on experience developing test automation frameworks, preferably utilizing PyTest
  • Practical experience troubleshooting and working within Linux/Unix operating environments
  • Proven ability to build tools and utilities that streamline testing workflows and improve overall engineering productivity

What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Experience designing or supporting enterprise-grade security or networking products
  • Proficiency with AI code assistance tools such as Gemini Code Assist to accelerate development
  • Strong debugging skills across complex Network, Cloud Infrastructure, HTTP/HTTPS, and TLS protocols in customer environments
