Product and Service Quality Manager

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for Product and Service Quality Managers (Level K) to support the 737 and P-8 teams onsite in Renton, Washington on 2nd shift.

A manager in this role will develop cross-functional partnerships to achieve team and program goals while developing a work environment that promotes accountability, trust, teamwork, quality and safety. This role will lead a team of 10+ people.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages employees who evaluate and ensure that products, services and processes comply with customer contract requirements, engineering requirements, company procedures and government regulations
  • Develops and executes business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies to improve performance
  • Provides education and coaching on the Quality System
  • May make airworthiness determinations on behalf of the company and regulatory agencies
  • Acquires and manages resources and leads process improvements
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, suppliers and direct reports
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course "Exploring Leadership."
  • 3+ years of experience in an aerospace, fabrication or manufacturing environment
  • 3+ years of experience working with managing product definition data requirements, processes, or product data
  • 3+ years of experience working with and/or interpreting engineering data or engineering drawings
  • 3+ years of experience with root cause corrective analysis
  • 3+ years of experience with Quality Management System (QMS)
  • 1+ years of experience in Material Review Board processes
  • Willing and able to work 2nd shift

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience leading teams in a formal and/or informal role
  • 3+ years of experience working on the 737 Program
  • 3+ years of experience working with quality and/or manufacturing data systems
  • 3+ years of experience using Microsoft Office Tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
