Senior Solutions Architect 2 opportunities available | 1 Auckland-based | 1 Wellington-based
Your role, your journey | Te Huarahi Whakatipu As a Senior Solutions Architect, you'll lead architecture for 2degrees' largest and most complex Enterprise and Public Sector customers and opportunities, across strategic account growth, new-logo acquisition and competitive displacement.
You'll be the technical authority from qualification through to contract, owning solution strategy, win themes, architecture integrity, technical risk and sign-off. Working across Business Sales, Product, Commercial and Technology, you'll turn customer strategy into differentiated, deliverable solutions that balance customer value, cost, margin, supportability and delivery risk.
You'll also orchestrate strategic partners, technology vendors and third-party providers where outcomes span multiple platforms or providers. You'll lead executive customer conversations, solution defence sessions and complex bid responses, while coaching the wider team and creating reusable pursuit assets.
This is a senior, commercially accountable role for an architect who can hold the room, challenge constructively and help win profitable, technically robust business.
How you'll show up | Tu mai Tu Rangatira • At least 7 years' technical pre-sales experience in telecommunications, preferably in a Solutions Architect role, supported by a relevant tertiary qualification. Design architecture or best-practice certifications are desirable.
- A proven track record of winning large, complex Enterprise or Public Sector deals, including new-logo acquisition, strategic account expansion, competitive displacement and leading technical responses to major bids.
- Deep architecture capability across multiple solution domains, with the ability to integrate products, platforms, operational capabilities, partners and third parties into a coherent end-to-end design.
- Demonstrated experience leading complex multi-vendor solutions, including architecture alignment, integration, interoperability, technical dependencies, delivery assumptions, support models and risk resolution.
- Strong commercial acumen. You can shape solutions that win while protecting margin, cost-to-serve, technical feasibility, supportability and deliverability, and you surface trade-offs early.
- Executive presence and excellent verbal, written and presentation skills, with the credibility to lead complex conversations with senior business, technical and C-level decision-makers.
- A strategic, consultative approach to customer growth, including shaping white-space opportunities, solution roadmaps and multi-year technology outcomes with Sales and account teams.
- Strong knowledge of the enterprise telecommunications market, competitor propositions and relevant products and services, combined with a clear sales focus and high attention to detail under pressure.
- The ability to influence across Sales, Product, Commercial, Technology, partners and customers, and to coach others, share knowledge and lift architecture and bid best practice.
- A commitment to continuous learning, maintaining relevant certifications and using approved AI tools responsibly where they improve pursuit quality and productivity.
