Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
Role Overview
As part of the Mahindra Auto Accessories team, Manager – Vehicle Engineering will be responsible for leading vehicle-level engineering integration across SPV and NU platform programs. This role will ensure seamless coordination across engineering, product development, design, manufacturing, and testing teams to deliver vehicles that meet performance, quality, safety, and customer expectations.
The incumbent will play a pivotal role in driving vehicle dynamics, ride and handling, NVH performance, and overall vehicle integration throughout the product development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Vehicle Engineering & Program Integration
Lead vehicle-level engineering integration for SPV and NU platform programs, ensuring alignment across engineering, product development, design, testing, and manufacturing teams.
Drive technical decision-making and resolution of integration issues throughout the vehicle development process.
Vehicle Dynamics & Performance Development
Own and deliver vehicle dynamics targets across development stages.
Drive optimization of ride, handling, steering feel, stability, braking performance, and overall driving characteristics to achieve best-in-class customer experience.
NVH Engineering
Lead Noise, Vibration & Harshness (NVH) development activities and performance assessments.
Collaborate with component and subsystem teams to identify, analyze, and resolve NVH issues through design and engineering improvements.
Design & Feasibility Coordination
Work closely with Product Development and Design teams to assess engineering feasibility of concepts and design proposals.
Prototype Development & Validation
Support prototype builds, engineering trials, and testing activities throughout the development lifecycle.
Drive issue resolution during validation phases and ensure successful achievement of vehicle sign-off criteria.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong expertise in vehicle dynamics and chassis engineering.
- In-depth knowledge of NVH (Noise, Vibration & Harshness) analysis and optimization.
- Proficiency in CATIA for design review, packaging, and integration activities.
- Proven ability to manage cross-functional collaboration and technical sign-offs.
General Experience
Experience & Qualifications
- 5–7 years of experience in vehicle engineering, chassis development, vehicle dynamics, NVH, or automotive product development.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, or related discipline.
- Experience working within automotive OEMs or vehicle development organizations is preferred.
- Exposure to vehicle integration, testing, validation, and program management activities will be an advantage.
