Senior Data Analyst - Regulatory Reporting

Location: Madrid (Spain) - Hybrid: 4 days in the office, 1 day working from home per week

Ebury’s strategic growth plan would not be possible without our Data Analytics & Regulatory reporting team and we are seeking a Senior Analyst Intern to join our Regulatory Reporting domain!

Our data mission is to support Ebury’s regulatory compliance by ensuring accurate and timely submission of all required reports to our stakeholders and auditors.

The Data team works closely with Finance, Compliance and Product to coordinate and automate reporting in multiple jurisdictions. We partner with MLROs and Regulatory Reporting specialists to translate official technical requirements into robust data models, validations, and automated deliveries. Projects range from building centralised payment statistics pipelines to creating account and client databases required by regulators, always with a focus on quality, traceability, and timely submission.

As part of the team you will

  • Work closely with other Data Analysts, Analytics Engineers, Data Engineering, Compliance Officers, and the Regulatory Reporting team.
  • Be responsible for modelling data in our platform to build critical regulatory and compliance reports.
  • Manage the reporting processes: requirements gathering, building optimised data models, performing validation checks, and delivering compliant files to regulators.
  • Maintain and build dashboards and visualisations on the data platform using BI tools (Looker / Looker Studio) for stakeholders and internal auditors.
  • Contribute to the automation and enhancement of our regulatory reporting processes to ensure compliance and accuracy.

What we’re looking for

  • 4-6 years Experience in Data/Business Analytics – applied to Finance or Compliance is a plus.
  • Advanced SQL skills – able to read and write queries across complex datasets.
  • Experience with our modern data stack tools: dbt, Google Cloud BigQuery, Looker, Sigma, Git.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience working with Python.
  • Previous exposure to Regulatory or Financial Reporting.
  • Knowledge of Financial Services or Capital Markets (Payments, FX, Treasury, Accounts) is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Ability to manage, organise and present data in a clear, concise and actionable format
  • Fluency in English (Spanish, a plus)
