Job Description

POSITION GENERAL SUMMARY

• As a leader, the role is pivotal in planning and driving strategic Data & AI activities across the organization. Responsible to drive team to develop and formulate AI, Machine Learning, and interconnect/partner reporting initiatives to continuously enhance business performance, reporting, customer experience, and enterprise application development, all in support of MAHB's strategic objectives

• To identify business opportunities where AI can be applied, collaborate with data science and engineering teams to develop solutions, and ensure that products created with the help of AI deliver actual value to users.

• Collaborate with management, data scientists, engineers, and stakeholders, define product vision and AI use cases, manage model lifecycle (from prototyping to deployment), evaluate AI performance and iterate based on feedback, ensure compliance with fairness, accountability, and transparency standards.

• This includes overseeing predictive and descriptive analytics, machine learning models, and advanced artificial intelligence developments. Furthermore, you will act as a Change Agent, collaborating with the MAHB Transformation Management Office to execute change management initiatives, fostering a culture of innovation, design thinking, and data/AI literacy within human resources.

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS

• AI/ML Model Management: Oversee the end-to-end development, deployment, and MLOps of AI/ML models, ensuring their effective ""run and maintain"" lifecycle to meet MAHB’s ongoing analytical needs.

• AI Strategic Leadership & Advisory: Execute the finalized MAHB AI Framework. Provide strategic guidance to management on AI capabilities, ethical AI use, and identify potential AI solutions for complex aviation business challenges

• AI Solution Integration: Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to ensure AI solutions are effectively integrated into existing airport systems, ensuring they meet specific business needs and drive measurable value.

• AI Data Architecture & Preparation: Develop and manage specialized data architectures for AI/ML workloads, including feature stores and robust data governance. Ensure data is appropriately prepared, labeled, and optimized for both training and inference.

• Master Data & Comprehensive Data Model: Consolidate all data sources to build and maintain a comprehensive airport data model, ensuring data integrity and master data management to support MAHB's AI operations effectively.

• AI Centre of Excellence Leadership: Lead the AI Centre of Excellence (COE) and act as the primary driver for the AI community within MAHB, fostering an AI-first culture and cross-functional literacy.

• Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives for the continual refinement of machine learning methods and algorithms, staying ahead of industry trends to keep MAHB at the forefront of "Smart Airport" technology.

• Project Synchronization: Synchronizing cross-functional liaison and managing complex project timelines for organizational AI initiatives.

• Unified Digital & AI Platform: Coordinating the development of a unified digital platform that seamlessly supports AI capabilities.

• Data Lake for AI Trust: Ensuring the Data Lake serves as a reliable ""single Citations of truth,"" critical for robust AI model training and inference.

• AI Adoption: Developing the skills required in AI adoption and exploration across the Organization.

• Stakeholder management and expectation of AI solution

Skills

• Very knowledgeable in Google Gemini components, other AI tools and has deep AI Technical Proficiency and Specialized AI Product Skills

• Able to work independently, good communication skills and able to liaise across different levels of management & stakeholders, dedicated, and have endurance

• Strong analytical, problem solving, interpretation and conceptual competencies; passionate about creating value through analytical methods and data analysis

• Strong understanding and experience using machine learning algorithms, deep learning, NLP, or computer vision

• Exploring, manipulating, and visualizing data to find new patterns and signals

• Proficiency in statistical analysis, quantitative analytics, predictive analytics, multivariate testing, and optimization algorithms

• Familiarity with high dimensionality data, dimensionality reduction, or feature extraction

• MLOps & Orchestration: Mastery of the ML lifecycle (Kubeflow, MLflow, or SageMaker) with a focus on automated CI/CD pipelines for machine learning

• Advanced Modelling: Proficiency in building Agentic AI solutions using Python, including autonomous agents, tool-integrated LLM workflows, multi-agent systems, and reasoning-based orchestration frameworks

• Key skills: Creativity / Innovation, Strategic Leadership, Business Understanding, IT Project Management, System Analysis /Design.

Education

EXTERNAL

• Bachelor Degree preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology or Statistics or at least 10 years working experience including as a Manager in the relevant field

• Master Degree would be an added advantage

• Advanced knowledge of Big Data analytics, AI/ML model development, and MLOps

• Solid knowledge of and experience with Agile software development or Sprint Design

EXTERNAL

• Degree with minimum 10 years relevant experience in Management role and 10 years working experience for AI Product, IT related or air transport environment
