The Muslim Association of Canada (MAC) is a nationally incorporated charity with chapters in 13 cities across Canada. We are currently seeking a hardworking, enthusiastic and well organized Graphic Designer to join our team at MAC, specifically for the MAC Tarbiyyah Department.

Duties of the Graphic Designer include creating engaging and on-brand graphics for a variety of media for the MAC Tarbiyyah Department. Reporting is directly to the management team and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conceptualizing visuals based on requirements
  • Creating images and layouts by hand or using design software
  • Testing graphics across various media
  • Prepare rough drafts and present ideas
  • Amend designs after feedback
  • Work with copywriter and creative director to produce final design
  • Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand

Qualifications:

  • Background and experience in graphic design
  • A strong portfolio of illustrations or other graphics
  • Familiarity with design software and technologies (such as InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
  • A keen eye for aesthetics and details
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work within a team, with integrity, enthusiasm, initiative and confidence
  • Strong organizational and time management skills

Compensation: Starting salary range depends upon education and experience
