We are currently seeking a Tech Consultant - Java Production Support to join our team in Bangalore, Karnātaka (IN-KA), India (IN).

Job Title: Technology Consultant – Java Production Support

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Technology Consultant – Java Production Support with application support expertise. The role will primarily focus on supporting business-critical production applications while also contributing to application development, enhancements, and defect fixes.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with Java, SQL/Databases, and production troubleshooting, along with working knowledge of Unix/Linux and Shell Scripting.

Day to Day Job Duties

• Provide production support for business-critical Java applications.

• Investigate and resolve complex production incidents, application failures, and performance issues.

• Analyze application logs, database queries, and system behavior to identify root causes.

• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement permanent fixes for recurring production issues.

• Develop and enhance Java application components based on business and operational requirements.

• Troubleshoot database-related issues and develop/optimize SQL queries.

• Use Unix/Linux commands and Shell scripts for application monitoring, troubleshooting, and operational activities.

• Collaborate with L1/L2 support, development, infrastructure, database, and business teams for incident resolution.

• Support application releases, deployments, production validation, and post-release monitoring.

• Participate in code reviews, defect fixes, and application performance improvements.

• Maintain incident documentation, troubleshooting procedures, and knowledge articles.

• Ensure production incidents and service requests are resolved within agreed SLAs.

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Java Production Support.

• 4+ years of experience with Java and enterprise application troubleshooting.

• 3+ years of experience with SQL, relational databases, and database troubleshooting.

• 2+ years of experience with Unix/Linux and Shell Scripting for application support and automation.
