Specific Responsibilities:
The Data Analyst is responsible for project and organizational reporting, data analysis, and insights. This position works closely with the Salesforce Administrator to ensure the Salesforce platform operates efficiently, aligns with organizational processes, and enables users to effectively leverage system capabilities. Additionally, this role supports data-driven decision-making by delivering reporting, analysis, and actionable insights across thread‘s projects and programs.
Data Analysis
- Collect, validate, and analyze data to support project and organizational decision-making
- Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations to inform and track key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Collaborate with project managers and program staff to define data requirements and reporting needs
- Identify trends, patterns, and opportunities to inform program and process improvement
- Track current early childhood education trend data
- Provide data analysis leadership for development, review and evaluation of survey and research reports
- Support forecasting, planning, and scenario analysis to inform ongoing and future initiatives
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across multiple data sources
- Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders
- Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and materials
- Recommend data-driven improvements to enhance processes and program outcomes
- Use AI-powered tools to accelerate data cleaning, pattern identification, and exploratory analysis
Salesforce Support
- Serve as the first line of support for internal Salesforce users across the organization
- Field and respond to staff questions, requests and issue reports across the organization
- Triage issues to determine urgency and whether they can be resolved directly or need to be escalated to the Salesforce Administrator
- Track recurring or frequently reported issues to identify patterns that may point to larger system or training needs
- Communicate system updates, changes, and improvements clearly to users
- Stay current with Salesforce updates, best practices, and community resources
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree, preferably in Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education, training, certifications, and relevant work experience)
- Experience with Salesforce or like CRMs preferred
- Current or interest in pursuing Salesforce certifications, including Salesforce Administrator
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated experience in data analysis supporting projects or programs including ability to pull, organize, manage and interpret data
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills to explain technical findings in simple terms
- Attention to detail to ensure accuracy
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels
- Experience training users on systems or tools
- Experience working with nonprofit organizations
- Familiarity with Salesforce tools including Account Engagement (Pardot), and Forms Assembly
- Experience developing and documenting policies and procedures
- Project management experience, including delivering projects on time and within scope
- Current driver’s license
- Must pass background check and provide references and valid identification

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
- Prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer.

Position Hours: Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm, other hours as needed.

Position Type: Full-Time, 40 hours/week. Classification: Exempt, Permanent

Supervises: None
Starting Compensation Range: $66,000 - $71,000 annual salary
Full-Time Benefits: 20 days of PTO (starting), 14 paid holidays, 403b match, High-Deductible Health Plan with HSA option (employer contributes to HSA), Dental, Vision and Life. All premiums covered 100% for employee’s health, dental, vision and life. Free thread services.
