Company Overview
Arcesium is a global financial technology firm that solves complex data-driven challenges faced by some of the world’s most sophisticated financial institutions. We constantly innovate our platform and capabilities to meet tomorrow’s challenges, anticipate the risks our clients encounter, and design advanced solutions to help our clients achieve transformational business outcomes.
Financial technology is a high-growth industry as change and innovation continue to disrupt the status-quo and prompt major transformation. Arcesium is at a particularly interesting time in our own growth as we look to leverage our successfully established market position and expand operations in pursuit of strategic new business opportunities. We value intellectual curiosity, proactive ownership, and collaboration with colleagues, and we empower you to meaningfully contribute from day one and accelerate your professional development.
We are looking for an exceptionally talented individual to join the Product Management Group in any one of our India offices as a Technical Writer. In this role, you will document Arcesium's proprietary software products and support other language-sensitive deliverables across the firm. You will need to understand multiple product areas, partner with cross-functional teams, and own documentation deliverables — including user guides, release notes, API documentation, and UX copy — end to end.
What you'll do:
- Own the end-to-end creation of high-quality documentation for Arcesium's offerings.
- Author and review deliverables including user guides, release notes, API documentation, and other client-facing content.
- Ensure documentation meets the attributes of accuracy, completeness, clarity, task orientation, and retrievability.
- Work closely with engineers, architects, product managers, and SMEs to translate complex product capabilities into clear, comprehensive documentation.
- Manage multiple documentation workstreams, set timelines, and keep cross-functional collaborators on track.
What you'll need:
- 7+ years of experience as a technical writer, including leading or mentoring a team of writers.
- Outstanding academic background and a passion for working in a high-tech software development environment, with the ability to understand and translate technology into simple yet comprehensive terms for end users.
- Critical thinking and the ability to articulate standpoints and ideas and influence stakeholders.
- Familiarity with data platforms and an understanding of different financial instruments and their lifecycle, preferred.
- AI fluency is a must — you actively use AI tools in your day-to-day writing workflow, from drafting and structuring content to reviewing and refining it, without compromising accuracy or voice.
- Experience working directly with engineering teams; you can read technical specs, ask the right questions, and translate complexity into clarity.
- Ability to work in an environment where structure needs to be defined, and to partner with multiple teams to set up new practices and processes.
- The ability to create extremely high-quality documentation while applying the industry's best practices of content creation.
- Strong project management skills: you can manage multiple workstreams, set timelines, and keep cross-functional collaborators on track.
- Familiarity with the documentation tools used in the industry; hands-on experience with GitBook, Confluence, GitLab, and Markdown, preferred.
- A graduate degree with exceptional English language skills, excellent analytical ability, attention to detail, and good interpersonal skills.
