Founded in 1884, The Hong Kong Jockey Club (“the Club”) is a world-class racing club that acts continuously for the betterment of our society. The Division
The Security, Integrity and Information Security (“SIIS") Division is responsible for the preservation of integrity by combatting criminality and corruption risks that can threaten horse racing, betting, and membership at the Club. The maintenance of a secure environment and integrity is key to our business. Not only is it important to ensure horse racing in Hong Kong is fair, it is also of paramount importance to the Club that there is governance and fair opportunities in all bet-placements. The department consists of Integrity & Financial Crime Risk, Racing Security & Integrity Assurance, Corporate Security and Information Security Risk & Assurance functions.
Job Summary
The job holder reports directly to the BCM lead and supports the delivery, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the Club's Business Continuity Management (BCM) Program, including coordinating Business Impact Analyses (BIA), maintaining business continuity plans, supporting testing and exercise activities, and assisting with BCM governance and reporting. In addition, the job holder will provide administrative and coordination support to the BCM team, including scheduling meetings, preparing presentations and reports, maintaining inventories and dependency mapping, and supporting day-to-day departmental operations.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals who are interested in developing a career in Business Continuity Management, including those with limited prior BCM experience. Working closely with experienced BCM professionals, the successful candidate will gain hands-on exposure to BCM frameworks, resilience planning, risk assessments, testing exercises, governance activities, and stakeholder engagement. The role provides a strong foundation for building BCM expertise and offers a clear development pathway within the BCM profession.
The Job
- Coordinate and support Business Impact Analysis (BIA) exercises with Business Units, including information gathering, data validation, analysis, and documentation of results.
- Assist Business Units to maintain and update business continuity plans, dependency mapping records, and related BCM documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with BCM policy and procedures.
- Support the planning, coordination, execution, and documentation of BCM testing and exercise activities, including recovery strategy tests and tabletop exercises, and track follow-up actions.
- Consolidate data and prepare BCM metrics and reports to support governance and management reporting requirements.
- Assist in the development of BCM dashboards, metrics and management reporting using data analytics and visualization tools
- Provide professional administrative, coordination and governance support to assigned managers and BCM team, including scheduling meetings, preparing agendas and meeting materials, recording minutes, and monitoring follow-up actions.
- Prepare presentations, reports, training materials and user guides under the direction of assigned managers.
- Conduct procurement and other administrative exercises including requests for proposals / quotations, liaison with vendors, and keeping track of progress to ensure work is delivered on budget and time.
- Organise in-person and virtual business meetings, as well as travelling schedules and bookings for assigned managers and team members; co-ordinate enquiries and correspondence.
About You
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Risk Management, Information Security or a related discipline, with at least 2 years of relevant experience in business continuity management, operational resilience, risk management, project management, audit or administration.
- Candidates should possess strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders and a keen interest in developing a career in Business Continuity Management.
- Prior BCM experience is advantageous but not essential. Candidates seeking to transition into a BCM career are encouraged to apply.
