Your mission: The Financial & Performance Analyst enables evidence-based decision by designing, structuring and developing frameworks and tools, including external benchmarking, aimed at continuously improving performance analysis. The role focuses on translating complex data into meaningful insights, ensuring transparency and comparability of performance across all Value Chain Elements (Assets, Energy Solutions and Trading). By building robust KPIs, analyses and views, the Financial & Performance Analyst supports Finance and the Business in identifying value drivers, performance gaps and improvement opportunities.

By translating complex financial and operational data into robust KPIs, insightful analyses and external benchmarks, you actively challenge performance assumptions and targets. Your responsabilities
You develop a strong understanding of Alpiq’s business, identify the key performance drivers, and support sustainable value creation by ensuring transparent, decision-relevant performance insights that support sustainable value creation. Your key responsibilities include:
- Performance insights
- Design clear performance analysis frameworks
- Translate complex financial and operational data into actionable insights on value drivers, risks and opportunities
- Ensure consistency, transparency and comparability of performance views across businesses and value chain elements
- Decision support
- Deliver forward looking analyses, scenarios and ad hoc decision support
- Act as a thought partner and challenger, supporting strategic and operational decision making
- Contribute to a performance oriented, evidence-based culture strengthening the link between insights and actions
- External benchmarking & performance positioning
- Develop and maintain external and peer benchmarks to assess performance positioning versus market and competitors
- Compare internal performance against industry standards and best practices to identify gaps, strengths and improvement levers
- Use benchmark insights to challenge targets, support strategic discussions and inform management decisions
Your profile
You combine strong analytical depth with strategic thinking and the ability to translate complexity into clear management insights. You are comfortable operating at the interface between Finance and the business and contribute to value creation through fact based performance steering and constructive challenge.
- Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics or Engineering
- 2+ years of professional experience in Finance / Performance analysis
- Very strong analytical, conceptual and problem solving skills
- Ability to structure complex data and develop robust KPIs and performance frameworks
- Confidence to challenge assumptions and performance targets with facts and benchmarks
- A hands‑on, self‑driven mindset and high level of resilience
- Experience or strong interest in performance management
- Understanding of energy markets and business models is an advantage
- Fluent in English, additional European languages are desirable.
