CUHK Business School Executive Officer II / Project Co-ordinator II (carrying the job title of ‘Manager / Assistant Manager, Admission & Marketing and Stakeholder Management’), Office of MBA (Chinese) Programmes

The CUHK Business School is a leading business school and a pioneer in business education in Hong Kong. Since its establishment in Hong Kong in 1963, the CUHK Business School has gained world recognition of nurturing business leaders with immense contributions in Asia Pacific. The School has been offering a comprehensive range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes with over 6,500 students from 30+ countries/regions, as well as executive education. It has one of the most extensive alumni networks in the region, with over 49,000 alumni around the world.

Among all the Master’s programmes offered by the School, the Office of MBA (Chinese) Programmes administers two part-time MBAs taught in Chinese to meet the leadership development needs of working professionals in Hong Kong, Chinese Mainland, and the region. The MBA Programme in Finance (FMBA) stands out as a highly selective programme designed to attract highly motivated professionals from the financial and related business sectors. The newly established MBA Programme in Technology and Innovation (TI MBA), delivered in collaboration with a partner institution, aims to nurture talents in technology and related fields. The School is now looking for an experienced Executive Officer II / Project Co-ordinator II to join the Office of MBA (Chinese) Programmes.

Reporting to the Administrative Director and / or his / her delegate, the appointee will be responsible for (a) developing and implementing marketing and communications strategies, organising marketing campaigns and admission events across various channels to enhance FMBA’s presence in the Chinese Mainland and Hong Kong markets; (b) ensuring the effective utilization of current marketing channels (including the official website), reviewing regularly their effectiveness, and exploring new channels to support marketing campaigns and generate new exposure; (c) designing and creating content for online and offline marketing channels, such as digital platforms, media advertisements, programme brochures, promotional leaflets; as well as to co-ordinate with editors and multimedia producers to develop and manage content to ensure timely and accurate updates; (d) establishing programme branding materials under the brand guidelines, and co-ordinating with the University and Business School’s marketing teams; (e) developing and maintaining strategic partnerships to increase brand exposure, including conducting market research; (f) working closely with the admission team to boost recruitment and drive applications; (g) planning and organising academic and outreach events, such as high-level conferences, meetings, press conferences, networking events; (h) responding promptly to public enquiries through phone, email and social media channels; (i) building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, managing stakeholder mapping, preparing communications to stakeholders, and responding to stakeholder enquiries; and (j) performing other impromptu duties. Travelling to the Chinese Mainland and other locations for business purpose are required.

Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor’s degree, preferably a Master’s degree; (ii) fulfilled the language requirements set out on the website: https://www.hro.cuhk.edu.hk/en-gb/languageforeo (for Executive Officer II); (iii) at least 5 years’ post-qualification executive experience; (iv) an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese and Putonghua); (v) excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills; (vi) a strong sense of commitment, self-motivation, and the ability to multitask and work independently in a dynamic environment with minimal supervision; and (vii) a positive attitude to the team’s objective, maintain collaborative work relationship with supervisors and team members, and act with honesty and integrity. Those with less relevant post-qualification executive experience may be considered for appointment as Project Co-ordinator II. Shortlisted candidates may be invited for interviews and / or written test(s), as appropriate.
