NAIT has an exciting opportunity for one Project Manager in Business Transformation.  The Project Manager is responsible for leading the end-to-end delivery of individual projects within an assigned enterprise program, operating under the direction of the Manger of Transformation Delivery. Working within the Transformation Management Office (TMO), the Project Manager translates program-level priorities into structured project plans, manages day-to-day delivery, and ensures project outcomes are achieved on time, within scope, and in alignment with institutional objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Delivery 

  • Develop and maintain project plans, including scope, schedule, resource requirements, milestones, and deliverable timelines, in alignment with program-level sequencing.
  • Lead project execution across all phases ensuring work progresses in accordance with agreed plans and institutional delivery standards. 
  • Direct and coordinate the work of project team members, including functional contributors, subject matter experts, and assigned delivery resources, in a collaborative capacity, ensuring clarity on roles, contributions, and timelines. 
  • Monitoring project budgets, forecast monitoring, and escalation of variances. 
  • Proactively identify and resolve delivery issues. 
  • Adhere to TMO delivery standards, tools, and reporting frameworks, and contribute to their continuous improvement. 

Partner Engagement and Communication 

  • Build and maintain productive working relationships with project-level partners, including business leads, functional subject matter experts, and operational staff involved in or affected by project delivery. 
  • Manage partner expectations on project scope, timelines, and progress, ensuring that changes are communicated clearly and in a timely way. 
  • Prepare project status updates, briefing notes, and milestone reports.
  • Supporting project governance (e.g., preparing materials and updates for Working Committee/Steering Committee meetings). 
  • Facilitate project meetings, working sessions, and decision-making forums with relevant partners. 
  • Facilitate vendor coordination where external project delivery partners are involved. 

Risk and Issue Management 

  • Identify, assess, and actively manage project-level risks and issues, maintaining a current risk register and escalating material risks. 
  • Develop mitigation strategies for known risks and respond effectively to emerging issues that could affect project delivery. 
  • Monitor project dependencies within the broader program and flag interdependency risks as they emerge. 

Documentation and Reporting 

  • Maintain accurate and current project documentation throughout the project lifecycle, including project charters, plans, risk registers, decision logs, and closure reports. 
  • Contribute to program reporting cycles with timely and accurate project-level information. 
  • Ensure lessons learned and project delivery insights are documented and shared with the TMO for continuous improvement and knowledge transfer. 

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree or diploma in Business, Project Management, Organizational Management, or a related field.
  • PMP or equivalent professional designation.
  • 5-7 years of progressive project management experience, with demonstrated accountability for end-to-end delivery of projects in complex, multi-partner environments.
  • Experience managing project timelines, risks, resources, and partner communications across the full project lifecycle.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and facilitation skills.
  • Proficiency in project management tools, scheduling software, and reporting frameworks.
  • Ability to work effectively within a structured program environment and adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Experience working within a project management office (PMO), Transformation Office, or enterprise program delivery environment will be an asset.
  • Familiarity with organizational change management principles as they apply to project delivery will be an asset.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience in post-secondary, public sector, or similarly complex institutional settings.

Remuneration:

Refer to salary range noted on this posting, plus a comprehensive benefits package.

The compensation range for this job posting is : $86,686.95 - $114,845.29
