We are looking for a Data Engineer to join our client's Data & Engineering team.
This role is primarily focused on supporting and expanding the organization's data platform, including Databricks, Power BI, and Azure-based data solutions. Depending on the selected engagement model, the position may be structured as either:
- A Part-Time Senior Data Engineer focused exclusively on Data Engineering and Analytics initiatives.
- A Full-Time Senior Data Engineer / Software Engineer capable of contributing to both Data Engineering and Software Development projects across the company's Microsoft technology stack (for an education-related company).
The ideal candidate combines strong data engineering expertise with a business-oriented mindset and a willingness to contribute across multiple technical domains as organizational needs evolve.
Location: 100% ON-SITE from Asuncion, Paraguay. Working hours will be 9 AM - 6 PM Paraguay Time Zone.

Senior Data Engineer (Part-Time)
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.
- Build and optimize data solutions using Databricks.
- Develop and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, and datasets.
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance across systems.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define analytics and reporting requirements.
- Monitor and optimize performance of data workflows.
- Support business intelligence and reporting initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to improve automation and data processes.
- Document technical solutions, processes, and best practices.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, or Analytics Engineering.
