Position Overview

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is seeking a Java Developer to provide advanced analysis, design, development, enhancements, implementation, and production support for complex software systems. The resource will serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Oracle Commerce Cloud (OCC) and related subsystems supporting the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board’s Fine Wine & Good Spirits (FWGS.com), Licensee Online Ordering Portal (LOOP), and Associate Portal (AP).

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, enhance, debug, test, and support complex software applications.
  • Work extensively with Oracle Commerce Cloud (OCC) and related Oracle systems.
  • Analyze existing code and design effective technical solutions.
  • Develop and debug Java, JavaScript, SQL, HTML/CSS, XML/JSON applications.
  • Support integrations and configuration involving Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC).
  • Conduct developer-level testing before UAT.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application defects and production issues.
  • Participate in peer code reviews and follow established development standards.
  • Support non-production environments and promote code through environments.
  • Document code changes, requirements, design decisions, and level-of-effort estimates.
  • Monitor system performance and implement corrective/remedial solutions.
  • Support security, backup, recovery, data protection, and system controls.
  • Follow PCI and e-commerce security standards.
  • Evaluate software products and provide technical recommendations.
