Role Description

We are seeking a skilled Embedded Software Engineer for a part-time, on-site position in Torrance, CA. In this role, you will design, develop, and test advanced non-destructive testing systems, contributing to innovative hardware and software solutions that meet the unique needs of our clients. Key Responsibilities:

·       Select, test, and integrate system components for achieving optimal performance

·       Develop user interfaces and software for hardware control and data acquisition

·       Develop algorithms and software for data analysis and image processing

·       Collaborate with other team members to meet project milestones and deliver high-quality solutions

·       Prepare technical reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations.

 

Qualifications

Required:

·       Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident

·       Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or a related field

·       At least 1 year of experience in developing software for hardware control and data acquisition

·       Experience in programming hardware via Ethernet, serial, and USB interfaces

·       Proficiency in Python

·       Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities

·       Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision and collaborate in a team to achieve project goals.

 

Preferred:

·       Familiarity with X-ray technology or related equipment

·       Experience with image processing and data analysis

·       Proficiency in C++ or C

·       Ability to understand and troubleshoot analog and digital electronics schematics 

·       Background in aerospace, defense, or related high-tech industries

·       Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical documentation and presentations.
