Position: React Manager and Outside Warehouse Business Operations Manager Location: Big Sandy Plant – Catlettsburg, KY

The React Manager and Outside Warehouse Business Operations Manager will manage personnel, budgets, and overall operations for the Reactivation Facility, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant operations. The React Manager and Outside Warehouse Business Operations Manager will provide leadership and oversight for all safety, environmental, regulatory, and operational performance requirements. The React Manager and Outside Warehouse Business Operations Manager will serve as administrative specialist to South Point leadership on operational effectiveness, process improvements, safety culture, environmental stewardship, regulatory compliance, and risk management to support business objectives and continuous improvement across site operations Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to)
- Monitor environmental and safety compliance at BSP's RCRA permitted Reactivation unit
- Manage compliance calendars for Department of Waste, Department of Water and Department of Air permits for the reactivation unit
- Provide leadership for 15 hourly employees in the BSP Reactivation Unit, overseeing safe and environmentally compliant manufacturing operations while achieving budget targets
- Direct workforce planning, staffing, overtime management, and turnaround activities; reviewed and approved production documentation; qualify and certify operators; and drive accountability through consistent reinforcement of safety, operational excellence, and compliance expectations
- Manage a $24MM operations budget and 29MM lbs of production
- Manage spent inventory of 15MM lbs of spent carbon at outside warehouse with up to 6 employees
- This warehouse is critical to supply five reactivation facilities
- Ensure operational effectiveness, process improvements, safety culture, environmental stewardship, regulatory compliance, and risk management to support business objectives and continuous improvement across site operations
- Interact with state, regional, and federal regulatory agencies across regions and develop favorable relationships
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.), or equivalent from four-year college or university is required
- 10+ years of EH&S Management, including regulatory compliance, risk management, and interactions with state, regional, and federal regulatory agencies is required
- 2-3 years of manufacturing experience is required
- 2-3 years of supervisory experience is required
