Job Summary:
Monitors, audits, and reconciles departmental accounts. Monitors policies and procedures relating to operational activities in the areas of human resources, finance, facilities management and research for a department. Assists in the preparation and monitoring of departmental budgets. Prepares routine operational and statistical reports. May coordinate invoice preparation, payables and/or receivables. Performs related responsibilities as required.
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or related field and three (3) years of related experience or equivalent combination of education/experience.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Verbal and written communication skills. Interpersonal skills. Skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications including but not limited to Microsoft Office products and database software. Analytical skills and organizational skills.
Responsibilities
- Assists in budgetary activities such as preparing departmental budgets, researching, monitoring and investigating account balances, and reconciling errors in accounts and/or recommending corrective actions.
- Assists in personnel-related activities such as creating and updating labor distributions for salaries and wages, initiating and tracking personnel actions, resolving payroll issues, and monitoring and auditing timekeeping and leave reporting processes.
- Maintains and reconciles departmental contracts. Coordinates payment of invoices, processing of travel and expense reimbursements and maintenance of receivables.
- Records and balances deposits, audits check requests for accuracy, conducts initial reconciliation of bank statement, audits divisional petty cash accounts, assists in month and year end close of private practice financials. Works with division on private practice accounts payable issues and trains new employees on practice accounting software.
- Assists in overseeing physical facilities and equipment assigned to the department. Plans and manages maintenance of over 700,000 square feet of space assigned to the department. Oversees renovation projects and acquisition of new equipment.
- Coordinates and maintains supply chain processes for the department and resolves supply issues.
- Participates on operations team to improve cost containment, increase productivity, and meet operational demands.
- Develop monthly, annual, and ad hoc reports for financial reports and analysis.
- Assists in post award management of departmental based grants.
