About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior QA Analyst to join our FX -Analytics team. Our team is responsible for designing, building, and delivering sophisticated analytics applications that support regulated Foreign Exchange (FX) trading venues.
This role is ideal for a quality-focused professional with strong expertise in both manual and automation testing, excellent analytical skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality software solutions. As a Senior QA Analyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, accuracy, and performance of our data and analytics platforms while collaborating with cross-functional teams across business and technology functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with FX business stakeholders to understand business requirements and technology-driven changes.
- Perform end-to-end quality assurance activities across assigned projects and releases.
- Analyse business and functional requirements to identify test scenarios, test cases, and validation strategies.
- Work closely with Product Management, Development, and Testing teams to clarify requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Execute functional, integration, regression, and data validation testing activities.
- Validate data accuracy across source and target systems following ETL implementations and mapping specifications.
- Identify, document, track, and communicate defects effectively throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Review of QA deliverables and testing processes, providing recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Contribute to the enhancement and maintenance of existing automation frameworks and testing processes.
- Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior management, to support successful product delivery.
- Adapt to changing priorities and deliver high-quality results within demanding timelines and production support environments
- Under general direction, the selected candidate will be responsible for quality assurance activities for Data and Analytics financial applications, including both functional and automation testing.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 7+ years of experience in both Manual Testing and Automation Testing (Java).
- Strong experience in ETL testing and data validation across source and target systems.
- Proven expertise in writing complex SQL queries for data validation and analysis using Oracle SQL Developer.
- Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, QA processes, and best practices.
- Experience reviewing testing deliverables and driving quality improvements.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently as a strong individual contributor while also collaborating effectively within a team.
- Self-motivated with a proactive, "can-do" attitude and strong ownership mentality.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Knowledge of version control systems such as Git or SVN.
- Exposure to API testing tools and methodologies.
- Familiarity with AWS cloud services and testing cloud-based applications.
- Experience in the financial services industry, particularly Foreign Exchange (FX) trading or other capital markets products, is highly desirable.
