Full description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee and deliver projects across the metropolitan aggregates area. This role will be responsible for leading project outcomes, managing resources, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

Reporting to senior leadership, you will oversee a portfolio of projects while leading and developing a team of 3–4 direct reports. You will work closely with operational teams, clients, contractors, and key stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery, strong commercial outcomes, and continuous improvement across the business.

About the Role

As Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading and managing projects across the metropolitan aggregates area from planning through to completion.
  • Managing a team of 3–4 direct reports, providing leadership, coaching, and support to drive performance and development.
  • Overseeing project scope, timelines, budgets, resources, risks, and deliverables.
  • Supporting operational excellence across projects, ensuring safety, quality, and production objectives are achieved.
  • Managing stakeholder relationships, including clients, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Monitoring project performance and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensuring compliance with workplace health, safety, environmental, and operational requirements.
  • Providing regular reporting, project updates, and recommendations to senior leadership.

Skills Required

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Demonstrated leadership experience within concrete, quarrying, construction materials, or heavy industrial operations.
  • Experience managing high-pressure, production-focused sites or projects.
  • Strong knowledge of plant maintenance, reliability, and asset management practices.
  • Proven capability managing teams, performance, HR, and industrial relations matters.
  • Sound understanding of workplace health, safety, and environmental compliance requirements.
  • Experience managing client relationships, contract performance, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Strong commercial acumen with excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with a leadership style built on accountability, collaboration, and achieving results.
