About the Role
Stratus.build builds SaaS project and workflow software for MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) contractors. We're hiring a Junior Product Manager to join our product team as an individual contributor, reporting to a Lead Product Manager. We work demos-not-memos: you'll turn roadmap priorities into working demos with engineers and designers rather than long written specs, validate them through testing, keep prioritization grounded in real customer feedback, and help write the release notes customers actually read.
We are a distributed workforce across the US- this role is remote with potential of quarterly travel.
What You'll Do
- Turn Lead PM direction into working demos and lightweight, testable acceptance criteria with engineers and designers, favoring a live walkthrough over a long-written spec.
- Partner daily with engineers and designers through standups, backlog refinement, sprint planning, and demo reviews.
- Test and validate deliverables against acceptance criteria (UAT) before release sign-off.
- Collect and synthesize voice-of-customer feedback into clear prioritization input for the Lead PM.
- Draft release notes for shipped features in plain, customer-facing language, checked against what you validated in testing.
- Escalate blockers, scope gaps, and edge cases to the Lead PM early.
What We're Looking For
- 0–2 years of product management, business analysis, customer research, or related experience (internships count).
- Strong, clear written and verbal communication — you can turn a vague requirement into an unambiguous demo, and a shipped feature into a release note customers understand.
- Comfort working directly with engineers and designers; basic familiarity with Agile/Scrum ceremonies.
- Comfort synthesizing qualitative customer feedback into a short, actionable summary.
- Detail-oriented and comfortable owning QA/UAT for your own deliverables.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
Nice to Have
- Experience in MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) construction, field operations, or construction technology.
- Prior hands-on experience with Stratus.build or a comparable construction/PPM SaaS platform.
- Familiarity with Jira and Confluence.
E-VERIFY STATEMENT Stratus participates in E-Verify.
