Job Description
Position Overview:
As an Analyst, Finance and Capital Markets, you will support all aspects of project finance transactions involving wind, solar, and battery storage technologies. Key responsibilities include creating and managing complex financial models, preparation of marketing materials for upcoming financings, supporting the due diligence process, and coordinating with external financing parties to support the execution of project finance and tax equity transactions. You will work closely with other teams within Invenergy, including Development, Origination, Engineering, Project Management, Legal, and Asset Management, as well as external legal counsel and consultants. This position is located at our headquarters in Chicago, Illinois or at our New York City office.
Responsibilities:
- Support the development of financial models to analyze project financing capital structures and evaluate economic outcomes associated with greenfield wind, solar, and storage projects.
- Collaborate with company engineers, developers, originators, asset managers, and accounting professionals to develop appropriate assumptions for financial models.
- Assist in the due diligence process for project finance, tax equity, corporate finance, and M&A transactions.
- Support construction and back-leverage term debt financings and tax equity financings, from initial marketing through execution of definitive agreements.
- Interpret and review terms in operating agreements, financing agreements, and power purchase agreements.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related field.
- 1+ years of experience in finance, banking, consulting, or related field.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and develop complex financial models in Excel.
- Familiarity with project or corporate finance transactions.
Preferred Skills:
- Project finance, corporate finance, or M&A transaction experience, preferably in the renewables or energy sectors.
- Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Possesses self-started qualities with the ability to work independently with minimal direction.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to prioritize concurrent tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Base Pay
$90,000.00 - $115,000.00 USD Annual Bonus: 15%
The base pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for the position. Invenergy considers a number of factors when determining base pay offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education and skills. In addition to base pay, the total annual compensation package may also include eligibility to participate in our bonus program(s) which are designed to reward individual and company performance.
