This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Cloud Engineer – AI Solutions (Manager) based in United States.
This role sits at the intersection of cloud engineering, AI infrastructure, and client delivery. You will design and operate secure, scalable cloud environments that power advanced AI, ML, and LLM solutions. The position combines hands-on infrastructure engineering with technical leadership across client engagements and internal initiatives. You will work closely with architects, engineers, security teams, and client stakeholders to turn solution requirements into production-ready environments. The role offers meaningful ownership across Infrastructure as Code, networking, security, DevOps, observability, and cloud operations. As a client-facing technical lead, you will help shape infrastructure decisions while reviewing designs and mentoring delivery teams. The position also provides a strong pathway toward broader cloud architecture responsibilities in a fast-moving AI engineering environment.

Accountabilities
- Design, provision, operate, and continuously improve end-to-end cloud environments supporting client engagements and internal AI initiatives.
- Build and manage production-grade Infrastructure as Code using technologies such as Terraform and CDK.
- Design and provision data engineering pipelines along with infrastructure supporting AI/ML and large language model workloads.
- Establish and maintain DevOps pipelines for data engineering, AI solutions, applications, and other technology components.
- Containerize and deploy applications using cloud-native compute, serverless, and related services.
- Build observability foundations covering logging, monitoring, alerting, operational visibility, and cloud cost tracking.
- Implement secure cloud deployments across identity and access management, networking, secrets management, and other security controls.
- Establish compliance guardrails appropriate for regulated environments and ensure infrastructure meets required security standards.
- Develop runbooks, operational documentation, deployment guidance, and support handoff processes.
- Review infrastructure architectures and Infrastructure as Code developed by other team members to ensure quality, scalability, security, and maintainability.
- Serve as the cloud engineering lead on client engagements, communicating infrastructure strategies, trade-offs, and decisions to client stakeholders.
- Partner with Solution Architects, engineers, client IT teams, and security professionals to align infrastructure with technical and business requirements.
- Contribute to a cross-functional delivery culture focused on high-quality execution, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in cloud engineering, platform engineering, or infrastructure development.
- Demonstrated ability to design and provision cloud infrastructure using at least one major cloud platform, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of AI/ML and LLM infrastructure on at least one major cloud platform.
- Proven production experience implementing and managing Infrastructure as Code.
- Experience designing and supporting Hub-and-Spoke cloud architectures across development, QA, staging, and production environments.
- Strong understanding of cloud networking, security, identity, access management, and secure infrastructure practices.
- Experience building reliable, scalable, and production-ready cloud environments.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills, including experience working directly with clients.
- 5+ years of consulting or client-delivery experience is preferred.
- Cloud certification in AWS, Azure, or GCP is preferred.
- Ability to review technical designs and provide constructive guidance on cloud architecture and Infrastructure as Code.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, organizational, and collaboration skills, with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-changing AI technology environment.
- Comfortable taking ownership of infrastructure decisions and translating complex technical concepts for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Willingness and ability to travel as needed to support client requirements.
- Candidates may be based remotely across the United States or Canada, subject to client and business needs.

- Estimated base salary of $155,000–$175,000 per year, depending on skills, certifications, experience, market conditions, and travel requirements.
