Requirements

Candidates must have at least 5 years of experience in business analysis and a minimum of 2 years in AML or related fields. A tertiary qualification in Business, Information Systems, or Project Management is required, along with proficiency in Agile methodologies and various analysis tools.

Job Description

About the role

In this MTC role, you will act as a key liaison between Technology, Wagering, and Racing teams as a Business Analysts centred on our AML program of work.  

You will be responsible for gathering, analysing and validating AML regulatory obligations and translating them into clear and actionable business requirements.   

You will work closely with stakeholders to define scope, capture current and proposed workflows, and facilitate workshops between technical and non-technical teams. Your ability to provide strategic insights will be essential in delivering impactful business outcomes. 

This role requires a strong ability to navigate cross-functional teams, adapt to evolving priorities, and proactively identify opportunities for process improvement. You will excel in the following key areas;  

Requirement Analysis: 

Collaborate with subject matter experts, third party consultants, stakeholders, end-users, and technical teams to gather, analyse, and document clear business requirements and functional and non-functional requirements. Produce supporting scenarios and acceptance criteria. Conduct detailed business and system analyses to ensure AML regulatory obligations are clearly understood, accurately scoped, and well-documented throughout the project lifecycle. 

Stakeholder Engagement: 

Serve as the primary point of contact for Product Owners, Project Managers and Technical Teams, ensuring all relevant stakeholders are informed and aligned when scope or project details change. Facilitate effective communication between business stakeholders and project or development teams to ensure alignment on objectives and expectations. 

Process Improvement: 

Continuously identify and implement best practices, tools, and techniques to improve business analysis processes. Actively contribute to the enhancement of the organization's Analysis Practice by sharing knowledge, refining methodologies, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

Qualifications 

We are looking for someone with the following behavioural and technical skills:  

  • A minimum of 2+ years relevant work experience in AML or related fields.  
  • Tertiary qualification in Business, Information Systems, Project Management, or equivalent experience.  
  • 5+ years in business analysis or development environments.   
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and project management frameworks.  
  • Able to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels, fostering engagement and support for business objectives. 
  • Experienced in Jira, Confluence, Miro, Lucid chart, Visio and the MS suite.    
  • Maintains a continuous improvement mindset, identifying and implementing best practices to enhance business analysis processes.
