Business Analyst – Customer Program Management – 12 Month MTC

About the role

As a Business Analyst in our Customer Program Management team, you'll work across projects spanning large-scale transitions, technology delivery, customer initiatives and strategic partnerships.

Partnering with stakeholders across the business, you'll help shape solutions by exploring, challenging and translating business needs into clear functional and technical outcomes. You'll facilitate discussions, test assumptions and work with stakeholders to uncover the requirements needed to support successful delivery.

You'll work closely with business stakeholders, technology teams and delivery partners, providing the business context, requirements and decision support needed to move initiatives successfully from discovery through to delivery.

As part of an integrated programme team, you'll work alongside Project Managers, Release Managers, Change Managers and delivery partners to help ensure requirements remain aligned throughout the delivery lifecycle and are translated into meaningful business outcomes.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Facilitating workshops to uncover business needs, challenge assumptions, align stakeholders and drive decisions.
  • Eliciting, documenting and analysing business, functional and technical requirements.
  • Conducting impact assessments and validating requirements to ensure proposed solutions meet business needs.
  • Working closely with delivery partners, providing business context, acceptance criteria and ongoing support throughout delivery.
  • Using data and gap analysis to test assumptions, identify insights and inform solution design.
  • Mapping current and future-state processes to improve customer outcomes, efficiency and controls.
  • Producing and maintaining key project artefacts, including requirements documentation and process maps.

What we're looking for

You'll bring proven Business Analyst experience within a corporate financial services environment, with strong capability in requirements elicitation, process analysis and stakeholder engagement.

Experience working as a business analyst within financial services is essential, with experience in insurance or, superannuation environments highly regarded. Exposure to technology-enabled transformation programmes will also be highly regarded.

You're naturally curious and enjoy understanding how things work. You're comfortable asking questions, challenging assumptions and helping stakeholders work through complex problems to reach practical outcomes.

You can navigate complexity, balance detail with the bigger picture and communicate confidently with a broad range of stakeholders, including customers, partners and senior leaders.

You’ll also bring:

  • Strong workshop facilitation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience translating business needs into clear functional and technical requirements.
  • Strong process mapping, impact assessment and requirements validation capability.
  • Proficiency in business analysis tools, techniques and methodologies.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Experience with JIRA, Confluence and MS Project.
  • Familiarity with governance, risk and regulatory frameworks.
