Full description

Purpose

This position is responsible for supporting Windigo’s payroll, time and attendance at 5 Windigo operations, including corporate.

Must possess knowledge of our timekeeping system and ensures accurate calculation of hours, wages, and company

deductions following our union contracts. This position will also be responsible for supporting Windigo’s weekly financials, DC

operational reporting and accounts payables. This position supports various aspects of the Finance department including

analysis on financial and operational metrics, as well as benefits.

Duties and Responsibilities

 Reviews, audits, and manages employees time and set-up in Windigo’s timekeeping system

o Audit of personal and vacation balances and complete quarterly PTO/vacation liabilities

o Audit of sick time balances

o Update and maintain employees’ profile

o Develop and create payroll audit reports and communicate weekly to GMs

o Completion of required documentation for terminated associates

 Analyzes weekly payroll preview report from payroll provider, ADP

o Review and compare to timekeeping payroll reports

o Once approved, creates payroll pivot reports for weekly financial reporting

o Reviews and completes weekly time summary reports for accurate financial reporting on hours and wages

o Communicate weekly reporting on ADP invoices and Wells Fargo transaction reports to our 3rd party

accounting vendor, FMS

 Develops Weekly Financial and Operational Reports

o Responsible for reviewing and auditing weekly financial invoice for one DC

o Develops and communicates weekly financials for one DC

o Completes accurate weekly operational reports for dashboard results for 3 locations

o Submits weekly metrics to Kroger Sharepoint site

o Develops and communicates daily overtime report

 Other Financial Responsibilities

o Responsible for reviewing AP invoices and charging to correct accounts

o Develops weekly AP reporting for GMs

o Wells Fargo support for Positive Pay, Corporate Credit Cards and ACH/wire payments

o Completes weekly Kamps audit and reconciliation for Aurora and Fountain

 HR/Admin Support

o Responsible for supporting the Windigo Corporate Team in managing their monthly agendas and travel

o Supports our annual DMTP training program

o Provides support to our HR Manager on onboarding associates, as well as annual benefit enrollment support

 Other Responsibilities as Assigned and Needed

Job Requirements

Relevant Experience, Education, Certification, Knowledge Skills and Abilities

 2-3 years of experience with experience in accounting, financial reporting and analysis, budgeting, operational

analysis, and metrics preferred.

 2-3 years of experience in payroll and timeclock systems specifically ADP systems.

 Excellent PC skills: ie: databases, spreadsheets, accounting software/systems, and presentations.

 Superior organizational and attention to detail skills. Must be able to juggle multiple priorities and acts

independently to ensure quality work is completed timely.

 Excellent problem-solving skills and willingness to learn. Position requires candidate to work collaboratively with

Operations, Finance and Human Resources and provide regular communication on any obstacles or setbacks.

 Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Must be able to see the big picture expectations within day to

day activities.

 Excellent oral and written communication skills. Position requires candidate to prepare and provide detailed

information on payroll and financial results.

 Excellent skills in dealing with fast pace, changing, and challenging situations.

 Strong ability for recognizing better and innovative ways to accomplish objectives.

 Proven success in influencing behavior without direct authority.

 Maintains confidentiality of information and must be able to act independently in a professional manner.

Physical Environment

 Some travel may be required

 Most work is performed in a temperature-controlled office environment

 Incumbent may sit for long periods of time at desk or computer terminal

 Incumbent may use calculators, keyboards, telephone, and other office equipment during normal

workday

 Stooping, bending, twisting, and reaching may be required in completion of job duties
