What You'll Do
The Global ECT Strategic Projects Senior Manager is a senior role supporting the day-to-day running of the Global ECT function and contributing to its ongoing evolution. The role requires someone equally comfortable operating the business as it stands today and helping reshape it for tomorrow: supporting governance, reporting, and operational rigour across the global-regional model, while contributing to the strategic projects that keep the career track's value proposition current and competitive.
Key Responsibilities
Running the Business
- Managing the operating rhythm of the Global ECT team: governance cadence, PA and regional accountability processes, and leadership reporting
- Supporting core operational programmes including the Expertise Development Program (EDP), the annual PEOPLE survey, and ECT guardrails implementation (including staffing, PA sponsorship, recruiting and billability management best practices)
- Partnering with Regional ECT (Senior) Directors (AP, EMESA, NAMR) to maintain regional consistency, resolve pain points, and keep the global-regional model running smoothly day to day
- Acting as a go-to point of contact on ECT matters for experts and leaders of functional and cross-functional teams
- Maintaining a high bar on data quality, process discipline, and follow-through across the function
Strategic Projects and Evolution
- Supporting change management and operational improvement projects that enhance how the ECT function runs, from diagnostic through to implementation
- Contributing to the ongoing evolution of ECT's employee value proposition and commercial value to BCG, including the global expansion of the ECT Staffing and PA accountability initiative
- Preparing analyses and recommendations for leadership on operating model refinements as they arise
- Supporting stakeholder engagement on specific initiatives, helping translate a complex set of interests into clear, actionable outputs
You’re Good At
- Operational excellence: you bring discipline and energy to running a global function, holding the bar high on process rigour, data quality, and follow-through
- Project management: strong project management skills and business judgment, able to drive discrete initiatives from diagnostic through to implementation alongside business-as-usual delivery
- Hands-on execution: you build and pressure-test analysis yourself rather than waiting to be served it
- Stakeholder engagement: comfortable navigating diverse and sometimes competing interests across a matrixed global organisation
- Customer focus: able to anticipate and solve problems for Experts and internal stakeholders navigating ECT across systems and functions
What You'll Bring
- 5-8 years of relevant experience in strategy, management consulting, operations, or a comparable role, with exposure to both operational management and cross-functional change initiatives
- Demonstrated success balancing steady-state operational ownership with project-based strategic work
- Experience with operating model change and/or AI-enabled transformation a plus
- Strong business judgment, with the ability to connect strategic intent to operational reality
- Strong stakeholder management skills and comfort working with senior stakeholders
- Bachelor's degree required
- Strong knowledge of Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Ability to collaborate effectively across cultures, functions, and levels of seniority
Who You'll Work With
You will report to the Global ECT Strategic Projects Director and sit within the Expertise Advantage Practice Area. You will work closely with the Regional ECT Directors and functional, regional, and finance partners.
