As a Manager, Product Management & Business Development – Industrial Sensing here at Honeywell, you will be using your understanding of customers, markets, products, and competitive dynamics to drive growth of Honeywell's Industrial Sensing business globally. In this combined Product Management and Business Development role, you will identify market opportunities, define product strategies and roadmaps, develop growth plans, and lead customer engagement to expand business in existing and emerging markets.

You will report directly to our Director of Portfolio Management and you’ll work out of our Richardson, TX location on a Hybrid work schedule.

You will act as the voice of the customer and work closely with Engineering, Offering Management, Sales, Marketing, and regional teams to translate customer needs into product innovations and commercial success. You will be responsible for both shaping the product portfolio and driving adoption through strategic customer relationships, new business opportunities, partnerships, and channel expansion. You will also collaborate across Honeywell businesses to identify solutions opportunities and accelerate growth of sensing technologies in targeted applications and verticals.

Success in this role will be measured through:

  • Growth in sales opportunities, bookings, and revenue.
  • Development and execution of product strategies and roadmap initiatives.
  • Successful launch and adoption of new products.
  • Identification and commercialization of new applications, markets, and verticals.
  • NPI pipeline creation and customer adoption.
  • New customer acquisition and strategic account expansion.
  • Improvement in product portfolio performance and market share.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Act as the product and market expert for assigned segments and verticals, define product strategy, portfolio priorities, and long-term growth roadmap, gather and translate customer and market requirements into product development opportunities.
  • Work with Engineering and Offering Management to shape new product concepts, business cases, and investment priorities, support NPI planning, commercialization, launch strategies, and customer adoption.
  • Monitor market trends, technology developments, competitive activity, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities, drive portfolio reviews and recommend actions to improve product positioning, profitability, and market penetration.
  • Develop and execute growth strategies to expand business within target segments and verticals, partner with Sales teams to build account strategies, prioritize opportunities, and accelerate growth.
  • Establish strong relationships with strategic customers, OEMs, technology partners, institutions, and industry organizations, lead customer engagement from opportunity identification through commercial win.
  • Identify and evaluate partnerships, joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, and other strategic growth initiatives, drive expansion into new applications, channels, and markets.

Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE

  • 8 or more years of experience in Product Management, Business Development, Marketing, Sales, or related commercial roles.
  • 8 or more years of experience in developing product strategies and driving business growth.
  • Experience in identifying market opportunities and translating customer needs into product solutions.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to build business cases and value propositions.
  • Excellent influencing, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using market insights, customer feedback, and financial metrics to drive decisions.
  • Ability to work effectively across global and cross-functional teams. 

 

 

WE VALUE

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
  • MBA or advanced training in Product Management, Marketing, Business Strategy, or Operations.
  • Experience in Industrial Automation, Data Centers, Electronic Systems, Sensors, or OEM markets.
  • Demonstrated success launching new products and driving market adoption.
  • Experience managing product portfolios and product lifecycle activities.
  • Strong strategic thinking, innovation mindset, and business leadership capabilities.
