Devsinc is looking to hire a skilled Software Engineer - 1 to help deliver scalable, secure, and enterprise-grade software solutions. In this role, you will design, develop, deploy, and maintain high-performance backend applications and cloud-native services using modern Python technologies.

The ideal candidate has at least of 2 years of professional experience after graduation in Python backend development, with strong expertise in Django and Django REST Framework (DRF), along with hands-on experience in AWS, cloud deployments, containerization, and modern backend architectural principles.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain production-grade backend applications using Python and Django/Django REST Framework (DRF), FastAPI, or Flask.
  • Build secure, scalable, and high-performance RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed backend services.
  • Contribute to backend system design, including service boundaries, database selection, caching, asynchronous processing, and API architecture.
  • Deploy and manage applications on AWS using services such as EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS, IAM, and CloudWatch.
  • Develop and maintain containerized applications and automated deployment pipelines using Docker and CI/CD tools.
  • Design and optimize relational and NoSQL databases, queries, caching strategies, and data-access layers.
  • Implement background processing and event-driven workflows using Celery, Redis, RabbitMQ, Kafka, or similar technologies.
  • Monitor application performance, troubleshoot production issues, and improve system availability, reliability, and scalability.
  • Write clean, testable, and maintainable code, participate in code reviews, and maintain technical documentation.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of post-graduation professional experience in Python backend development.
  • Strong proficiency in Python, with extensive hands-on experience in Django and Django REST Framework (DRF). Familiarity with FastAPI or Flask is an added advantage.
  • Proven experience developing, deploying, and maintaining production-grade backend applications and RESTful APIs.
  • Strong understanding of backend architecture, microservices, API design, software design patterns, scalability, and secure application development.
  • Strong experience with relational and NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, and MongoDB, with expertise in database schema design, query optimization, caching strategies, and performance optimization.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, Lambda, or similar services), including cloud-based application deployments.
  • Experience with Docker, containerized deployments, and CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, or similar tools.
  • Hands-on experience implementing asynchronous processing using Celery, RabbitMQ, or similar technologies, integrating third-party APIs and services, and developing secure authentication and authorization solutions using JWT, OAuth2, and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).
  • Experience writing automated tests using PyTest, Unittest, or similar testing frameworks.
  • Strong analytical, debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize production applications in cloud environments.
