Aqua AIRHEAD Yukon Charlie’s Inyo Pools Pureline
At Helio Outdoors, we are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Analyst to join our growing Finance team. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, excels at cross-functional collaboration, and brings strong analytical skills to drive operational excellence.
The position will be based at our headquarters in Stoughton, Massachusetts. We are in-office four days each week.
About the Role:
We are a multi-brand, PE-backed consumer goods business looking for a highly analytical finance professional to drive clearer insight into business performance and support better decision-making. This role sits within FP&A and will play a critical part in:
- Delivering actionable insights into business performance across various brands, customers, and business models (e.g., wholesale vs. direct-to-consumer)
- Supporting month-end close and variance analysis
- Building and maintaining reporting and dashboards
- Improving how we collect, structure, and use data across the business
You’ll work directly with the Director of FP&A and enable broader and deeper business partnerships by taking ownership of core analytics and reporting. This is a hands-on role in a growing and evolving environment—well-suited for someone who is curious, detail-oriented, and motivated to improve how things work.
What You’ll Do:
Financial Analysis & Reporting
- Own recurring reporting including weekly/monthly scorecards, dashboards, and analysis
- Support month-end close through variance analysis vs. Plan/PY (revenue, margin, key drivers)
- Analyze performance across customers, product lines, and channels to identify trends and opportunities
Data & Analytics
- Work across multiple data sources (ERP exports, marketplace data, internal files) to build and maintain reliable datasets
- Leverage tools like SQL and DOMO (or similar) to improve speed and consistency of reporting and analysis
- Develop dashboards focused on insight generation (e.g., margin vs. Plan/PY, mix impacts)
Process Improvement
- Help transition the team from manual, file-based processes toward more scalable data solutions
- Identify opportunities to automate reporting and reduce manual effort
- Contribute to longer-term data initiatives (e.g., data lake / centralized reporting)
Ad Hoc & Business Support:
- Support ad hoc analysis tied to commercial and operational decisions
- Partner with internal stakeholders to answer key business questions as needed
- Support strategic initiatives as needed, including potential acquisitions, financing activities, and related diligence
What Success Looks Like (First 6–12 Months):
- Core reporting is owned, accurate, and consistently delivered
- Manual processes are streamlined or partially automated
- Dashboards evolve from “what happened” to “why it happened and what to do next”
- FP&A has faster access to actionable insights, enabling stronger business partnership
- Embrace and demonstrates the 4 pillars of core values: teamwork, accountability, clarity of purpose, and relentless execution
Why This Role?
- High visibility within a PE-backed, multi-brand business poised for continued growth
- Opportunity to directly influence commercial and financial decisions
- Meaningful ownership early, with a path toward broader business partnership
- Chance to help shape how the company uses data to drive performance
Requirements
- Three to five (3–5) years of experience in FP&A, business analytics, or consulting
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, or a related field
- Strong foundation in financial analysis (e.g., variance analysis, margin, performance drivers)
- Experience working with fragmented data environments
- Technical skills: • Advanced Excel, including Power Query
- Working knowledge of SQL
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., DOMO, Power BI, Tableau)
- Ability to balance hands-on data work with analytical thinking and insight generation
- Self-starter who is comfortable operating in a dynamic, evolving environment
- Experience analyzing customer-, product-, or channel-level performance strongly preferred
The company will not provide sponsorship for this role.
