About the role:
PwC is seeking a developer to join our Threat Intelligence practice, building the bespoke platforms and automation that underpin our global intelligence capability.
Our Threat Intelligence team delivers research‑driven, actionable intelligence to public and private sector organisations worldwide. We track emerging intrusion techniques and hundreds of threat actors across more than 27 countries, supporting incident response, adversary emulation, managed threat hunting, and strategic security decision‑making.
In this role, you’ll design and build the tools that enable analysts to collect, analyse, and publish intelligence at pace, ensuring clients have reliable access to critical insights. This includes delivering a threat intelligence portal, integration interfaces for client platforms, bespoke research services, and intelligence support across PwC’s global cyber security practice.
What your days will look like:
- Own full-stack features end to end, leading discovery, design, delivery, testing, deployment, and continuous enhancement.
- Build scalable automation, data collection systems, internal platforms, and RESTful APIs using Python and React to support critical intelligence workflows.
- Develop reusable frontend and backend solutions, producing high-quality, maintainable code both independently and with AI Agents.
- Deploy, operate, and optimise services in cloud environments, driving reliability, performance, and integration improvements across client-facing platforms.
- Partner with product owners, analysts, and engineers to review solutions, share expertise, document outcomes, and scale platforms globally.
The role is for you if:
- You have proven commercial experience delivering production-grade applications using Python and React in modern full-stack environments.
- You design, build, and consume RESTful APIs that enable reliable, scalable, and maintainable application capabilities.
- You create performant, reusable user interface components and apply strong engineering standards throughout the development lifecycle.
- You are comfortable leveraging AI tools such as Cursor and GitHub Copilot to improve productivity and delivery outcomes.
- Experience with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS is beneficial, particularly when building and maintaining modern web applications.
- You have experience collaborating with globally distributed teams, communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- You are self-sufficient, proactive, and motivated to apply your engineering expertise within a cybersecurity-focused environment.
Desirable experience:
- Cloud deployment and application operations across GCP, AWS, or Azure.
- CI/CD, containerisation, and cloud-native development practices.
What you’ll receive from us:
No matter where you may be in your career or personal life, our benefits are designed to add value and support, recognising and rewarding you fairly for your contributions.
We offer a range of benefits including empowered flexibility and a working week split between office, home and client site; private medical cover and 24/7 access to a qualified virtual GP; six volunteering days a year and much more.
