The Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for preparing business intelligence analyses, dashboards, and reports that enable data-driven decision-making across the organization. This role gathers reporting requirements, extracts and analyzes data from multiple sources, ensures data quality, and delivers timely insights to stakeholders. The Business Intelligence Analyst collaborates with cross-functional teams to understand business needs, develop standardized reporting solutions, and continuously improve reporting processes using best practices in analytics and visualization.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and document business reporting requirements from stakeholders.
- Extract, transform, validate, and analyze data from operational systems, databases, and reporting platforms to generate meaningful business insights.
- Develop, maintain, and deliver recurring reports, dashboards, and visualizations using globally standardized reporting practices.
- Perform quality assurance and validate data accuracy to ensure reliable reporting and sound business conclusions.
- Select appropriate analytical methods and techniques to solve business problems and support decision-making.
- Conduct data analysis, data mining, trend analysis, root cause analysis, and hypothesis testing to identify patterns and actionable insights.
- Convert business challenges into analytical use cases and communicate findings through clear visualizations and presentations.
- Ensure timely delivery of reports and analyses while maintaining high standards of accuracy and quality.
- Collaborate with senior analysts, business leaders, and cross-functional stakeholders to clarify reporting objectives and analytical requirements.
- Support continuous improvement of reporting processes, dashboards, and business intelligence solutions.
- Maintain effective communication with stakeholders regarding reporting outcomes, analytical findings, and recommendations.
- Support data governance initiatives by identifying and resolving data quality issues.
