Tech Lead /AI Python Developer

As a Senior AI Software Engineer, you design and build AI-powered solutions, from early experimentation to production-ready implementation. You combine rapid learning and pragmatic delivery with solid engineering practices to quickly turn ideas into working prototypes, validate their value, and evolve the strongest concepts into robust software. At the same time, you help to accelerate AI adoption across our organization and use practical guidance, reusable approaches, and hands-on collaboration to enable OMP development teams to adopt AI-assisted development approaches confidently and responsibly.

You are responsible for:

• Prototyping AI-powered features and developer tools to validate user needs, technical feasibility, and business value.

• Developing production-grade Python applications and services that integrate Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), AI agents, APIs, and enterprise data sources.

• Turning successful prototypes into secure, scalable, maintainable, observable, and well-tested solutions.

• Introducing AI-assisted development practices, reusable workflows, and practical guidance that improve developer productivity and software quality.

• Coaching and collaborating with developers through demonstrations, pairing, knowledge sharing, and hands-on experimentation.

• Evaluating emerging AI technologies pragmatically, identifying risks early, and contributing to sound technical design and engineering standards.

About you

Essential talents and qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or equivalent experience.

• Proven senior-level software engineering experience, including strong hands-on Python development and delivery of production-grade applications.

• Practical experience building AI-powered solutions with LLMs and patterns such as retrieval-augmented generation, tool use, or AI agents.

• A strong track record in rapid prototyping and evolving validated concepts into reliable, maintainable solutions.

• Sound system design skills, attention to detail, and a quality-driven approach covering testing, security, performance, observability, and clean code.

• Strong ownership, communication, and coaching skills, with the ability to guide colleagues and collaborate in an evolving environment.

Bonus points if you have:

• Experience with Azure AI services, cloud-native development, vector databases, and/or AI orchestration frameworks.

• Knowledge of FastAPI, Pydantic, Pandas, LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, MCP, or comparable technologies.

• Familiarity with supply chain planning, enterprise integration, or React or TypeScript for end-to-end prototyping.
